Agreed. To each his own, and it was game 2, I was there for that ing debacle![]()
The Mavs have to win game6 @Oakland, where they are 0-4 this season + playoffs.
While Warrriors have to win 1 of two games @DAL, where they are 2-1 season + playoffs.
Agreed. To each his own, and it was game 2, I was there for that ing debacle![]()
I'm wondering what you've seen from Dallas that makes you think they can do this? GS took the Mav's best punch tonight and still put them down. , I go as far to say if Jax and Davis don't get thrown out in game 2, we might have seen the Warriors bring out the brooms tonight.
I agree it's not over, but it's looks baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!
I agree with t park that anything can happen. But we gotta get our shots in while we can...no need wasting gloating time. say dallas does come back and win it....imagine how bad the trolls will be then!
Ouch...![]()
A little perspective ...
the Spurs are totally capable of laying an egg on the court. Exhibits A-D: they got spanked by Boston at home, Milwaukee twice, and Charlotte at home this season. But you can rest assured that they would not pull any of that nonsense in the playoffs.
Their last trip to the Finals, when they picked up their third trophy, I do remember the Spurs getting beat like a red-headed sister a couple of times, although they were up against a very good, borderline-great team.
Screw borderline those pistons were great!
In my opinion, the Pistons that year were just as good/great as us. We just had luck on ourside, residing in the vessel that is Robert Horry.
That series made me really proud of our guys, because we didn't play like pussies like we did in game 6 of 2004 . Take Robert Horry out of the equation in game 5, and Tim would have been asked to be traded for missing his ing freethrows.Basketball is a crazy game like that.
GREAT GAME * I wish Mark Cuban spoke at the press conference
they won't, i just don't see it happening. they will probably win game five, but game six, i don't think so. from a realistic pov, they just haven't played like they want it as much as the warriors...had they, baron davis would've seen his ass hit the ground in a couple of those red carpet drives to the basket.

Mavs are still the Mavs. Six points down with less than one minute to go, I said to my son "These are still the Mavs". What happens? Dirk hits his first tre and after some FT's on the other end, hits another with :14 left of the clock, only down 3. If Avery hadn't burned his TO's, or Harris hadn't thrown it away...Mavs may have gone home with HCA back. But guess what? Avery and Harris both choked. [/q]
ponky camping out in left field again...![]()
It was a compliment to the Mavs: "Mavs are still the Mavs".
But thanks for your concern.
Now, get back to your regularly scheduled "other" sport.
you told that to your son? that's kind of ed up, maybe he'll grow up to be just like artest
Bitter much?
The difference is that the Spurs had their championship experience to fall back on when they were down 3-1. They knew the fans would still be behind them because they had the rings. Plus, they legitamately felt they were ed by the refs in both Games 3 and 4 in Dallas and the zebras had more to do with those losses than the Mavs did.
It's not the same for Dallas. Their crowd won't be going crazy for them. I don't think they have too many fans left who think they'll still win this series. The team has let them down too many times before and there's no NBA Champion banners in the ceiling. And they can't rationalize the losses on the refs either because the refs haven't helped the Warriors out at all.
Face it dude, AJ pulled out all the stops tonight. He played Dirk, Howard and Terry to death. Check the box score. They cannot expand any more energy than they did tonight. They might play better, but they can't play any harder. They're gonna be totally drained.
No matter what happens in this series, even if by sick miracle they pull it out, the Mavs will feel the effects down the road. Don't forget last year we had to go 6 with Sacramento while Dallas swept Memphis easily.
Was that the game which you bought an extra ticket for a lucky spurs fan and created the "win a playoff ticket by sucking up" thread?![]()
So you thought I wantd people to suckup to me?
Oh well, people in the forum told me to tell people like you to off.
Good point about the Dallas crowd. It'll be interesting to see if they start out fired up, or if they come in down and waiting for the team to show them something.

They have the series two years ago aginst the Rockets to fall back on.
That simple.
But like someone else said, to each his own.
Is it too early to remind that the Kings put the Mavs away 2nd round 2002, and 1st round 2004, in 5 games?
considering how much you like to talk about the mavs choking, something they did tonight, you of all people, should be able to understand the confusion. if you read your comment until the end, the part where you talk about the mavs choking, one could interpret is as meaning "the mavs will be the mavs" and therefore they will choke.
Nooooooo.... not suck up to YOU!Suck up and tell what a great and loyal fan they were, why they were most deserving of being able to go on your ticket. I said in that very thread I thought it was a great thing you did.

...thanks for making me feel better, this is freakin' hilarious
the rockets never went up 3-1, if they had that series would have been over because the mavs lost game 6. so i think this is a little different situation, and much tougher. i think this series is over in 5. if game 5 is close in the last minutes i think GS will win it. mavs only hope of winning this series is if baron davis gets injured IMO.
Tpark you are wrong about the Houston series from 2 years ago. In that series Dallas went down 0-2. They dropped their first 2 home games to the Rockets. Then they went on to win 3 straight after that going up 3-2. Rockets win game 6 and then it goes to 7. That was a totally difference scenario. No matter how you spin it 3-1 sucks ass very few teams have comeback from that.
Maybe because "CHOKE" was all you saw in the whole entire post!
Try reading S-L-O-W-L-Y if your comprhension is naturally shallow. Then you can extrapulate as much info as possible.
Slamming your tight ass won't be necessary in that case, savy?
