We've all said that how many times this past year? Jardine/Lidell (sp)? Griffin/Shogun? Serra/GSP? I'm not willing to take it for granted that Rich Franklin wins this fight.

In all seriousness, the rules will somehow be slanted to favor Fedor. I have zero doubt that was in his contract...something...be it ring or elbows I guarantee it will come out eventually that his team demanded it.
Tim has two things in his favor
1. His odd size creates all kinds of problems
2. Its been a long time since Fedor has fought someone his size and talent level. Look at Tims fighting history..how many MMA fighters have fought better opponents time and time again like Tim? Name a fighter across any weight class.
I absolutely love Fedor but I believe his team has screwed him up with the way they have handled his career for the past few years. These guys have to face relative peer talent consistently to keep sharp and he has not done that. His last few fights are garbage.

And just a little background on my thinking (I know everyone will think me insane on this) but Tim is the main person I have wanted to see Fedor fight for awhile.
I could not care less about Randy Vs Fedor if we're talking about premier top level match ups.
I would rather see Tim Vs Sylvia and Randy Vs Nog.
MMAWeekly.com is reporting that Diego Sanchez could face Thiago Alves at UFC 89 on October 19th. Sanchez recently earned a victory over Luigi Fioravanti at The Ultimate Fighter finale in June. Alves recently finished Matt Hughes via TKO in the second round at UFC 85.
UFC 89 is currently slated to air for free on e TV with the main event being Michael Bisping and Chris Leban.
