A few things happened.
1. The Mavs relied on Stackhouse's early barrage of 3s and Howard, Terry & Harris hitting every open jumper even from 18+ feet. When that ran out, they didn't have a lot of offense left.
2. The Mavericks were/are just too slow. They telegraphed their passes and couldn't handle the double-teams of the swarming GS defense.
3. Dirk had 8 points total.
4. Buckets started 7-7 from downtown.
5. Just a general lack of intensity from everyone not named Howard on the Mavs.
They were completely annihilated in the second half.
Someone please tell me in 2 quick sentences how Mavs ended up behind by 24 points when Baron was off with an injury (when I had to stop following)?
