Personally I totally agree with what you do, they do meanial household chores such as cleaning their room, taking out the trash, etc but get paid for the types of services that many people would pay someone else to do.
I can't disagree with anyone that would have their child cut the grass as part of their non-paid chores, but I also can't disagree with someone that would pay their child for the same work, in fact I agree with it.
