The Lakers are giving up way too many easy points inside. At least with Benga, I know he's going to play physical defense and contest a lot of shots. Even if he has to foul, at least he won't give up layups. And I'm not asking him to play a lot of minutes. Just a few and see how he does.

I think people put too much stock into that Christmas game, saying Bynum solves all their problems. It is only a 1 game sample. , the Lakers DID beat the Celtics in the Finals twice last year, but obviously that didn't matter.
As for how these teams matchup? pretty evenly I'd say, a 7 game series would probably come down to who hits more jump shots and grabs more rebounds.
Let me start off by saying that I don't think this Celtics team can win the le as is...their bench really don't impress much at all anymore. Their big men were able to pound the boards there late in the half because we have skinny weak big men....Bynum certainly eliminates those opportunities for the most part and will add another 12-15 pts against the Celtics.

Luke and Trevors outshide shot is basically even. But Trevor is a better slasher and defender. Playing Luke more in favor that he has a better IQ is pathetic cuz Trevor is not dumb like Lamar, Sasha, and Radman

the celtics just look like the badass older brother everytime the lakers play them. this is the only team i feel like we need to play perfect basketball to beat. with that being said, if the lakers limit easy baskets, i like our chances but thats easier said than done
The Lakers shouldn't worry about this game. Boston will not get past Cleveland because King James can leave his mark on a game moreso than the Fake 3 put together. King James took them to 7 last year by himself without Homecourt... now this year he has elevated his game, he has Mo Williams, and the Cavs are superior offensively and defensively, and the Cavs will have Homecourt.
So, this game shouldn't concern the Lakers, losing to Boston is no more big of a deal than losing to the Thunder or Wizards. the Sunday game is a true measuring stick of whether the Lakers have the stuff of champions

It's that simple. BOS lost huge pieces to their bench in Posey and Brown, both of whom did major damage against the Lakers. What they've been replaced with just ain't all that scary.
Celtics will open this up in the 2nd half. I have a bad feeling about the way we ended that 2nd quarter.
I think BOS is waking up and realizing we don't have anyone to stop them at the rim.

They think they're special because of their fluke championship. They got bailed out by PJ ing Brown of all people hitting some bull 4th quarter shots in game 7 against the Cavaliers.
Also, Pierce trading baskets with the King? Yeah, that makes sense.
Alas, if they were not fluke champions, they will repeat this year. Non-fluke teams win more than 1 championship.
