Risky move by the Cavs. This either gets them to the Finals or gets them into the lottery.
King Krab does not believe in the lottery. The key to defeating Cavs now is to run pick and roll on every single posession. No exceptions.

The Cavs need to move Mo Williams to bench and move Delonte West as the starting PG. I think you're right Ferry is going to wheel and deal this summer.

Cleveland gets worse defensively. Shaq's fat ass will clog the lane making Lebron's drive less effective. Still not beating Boston/Orlando. Even if they luck and do advance to the finals the Lakers will ing stomp that ass in front of the most watched NBA finals since Jordan.

    Not trading Mo

Mo will start and I hope Ferry picks up a swingman that can start at the 2. Then Delonte comes off the bench as the 6th man, combo guard.

    West > Williams

Williams is a better 6th man combo guard, while West is a better role player big defensive PG IMO. Bottom line is they need a player to do for Lebron what Ariza does for Kobe.

What other moves can the Cavs make? They have no more tradeable assets and they're over the cap. They have the MLE to get a stretch PF and a 6th man or a starting caliber swing man? Good luck with that. The Cavs might make a few more small moves. But, I think this is the one major move they make all summer. They really don't have anything to work with to make another big move.

Shaq did crap with Steve Nash, Grant Hill and Amare...he'll do the same with Lebron and Mo Williams. Its not like he's getting any younger.

Was it Kerr who just stated a few days ago that the Suns were NOT going to make a trade just for salary reasons if it didn't improve the team??????????!!!!!!!! What a LIAR!!!!

True their best financial assets are gone, but there has been word of the Cavs wanting to move up into the 10-20 range in the draft. Maybe they could have only done this with Sasha and Ben's contract. I guess we'll find this out tomorrow.

the suns are just blowing up their team piece by piece. Lol.

This definitely makes the cavs better. That team is basically nothing but Lebron James and a couple 3 pt shooters. Now with shaq teams will finally have to pay attention to someone else.

    3. Nash for wanting this trade to happen.
He may have wanted them to trade Shaq, but the hilarious part is he may be ticked that they traded him for absolutely nothing and Nash may refuse to sign an extension! LOL.

It all comes down to Kerr is the worst GM ever, and Sarver is the worst owner ever. Terrible combination!

Snack Attack moving from team to team like its nothing these days..Orlando, LA, Miami, & PHX..All these places are nice..How the is he gonna live in OHIO?? I cant wait to see what kind of BS lies Shaq says now. Cleveland was never gonna win anything with Z as center so might as well try something new to compete with boston & orl in the east. Shaq's pick & roll defense is terrible though but atleast that conference will be more entertaining now

None of the Cavaliers fans should be complaining, they got Shaq for basically nothing. Ben Wallace and Sasha are nobodies and Ben has a huge contract, plus Shaq is just a dominating force, but they will get alot slower, hopefully now that they have Shaq they will give the Spurs Big Z or Verajao

Like it's gonna make a difference. They still ain't going nowhere next year. Shaq can't guard Howard.
Yeah, LMAO @ these idiot GMs trading for Shaq and thinking he's going to be their answer in the middle on D. Shaq hasn't given defensive effort since 2001.

How can someone argue with getting Shaq for almost nothing?

It's baffling to me how many people shout this trade down because, "It won't win Cleveland a le."

Well, so what? What if it wins them a single important game in the playoffs that they might not otherwise have won?

    Great trade for the Cavs.
