Come on Pop... plz develop Gist here with the big boys...
glad to see Hariston on the team. I was impressed by him last year, if he could add a somewhat consistent jumper he has a place in this league.

I'm intrigued by the Brazilian player the more I read about him. Maybe a year of bouncing around the D-league/Europe humbled him somewhat.

He's a free agent.
Here is the link to the summer league roster and schedule, sorry if it has been posted already

Damn, Peter Holt almost has himself another franchise. That looks to be a pretty damn good lineup. Just wish we still had Pops. And it is time for Ian Mahinmi to man up and stop getting injured. He can't spend his whole life in Austin on IR unless he decides to go into coaching.

Williams nursing wrist injury
By Jeff McDonald
There seemed to be a peculiar omission when the Spurs released their summer league roster earlier today.
No Marcus Williams.
Turns out, there is a good reason for Williams' absence. He is injured.
Williams, who finished the season with the Spurs and is expected to join them in training camp this fall, suffered a minor injury to his left wrist during offseason workouts. He should be fine by October.
combine his ass with Bonner and Finley and shop their asses like a low mileage corvette.
What, because he got injured? Give him training camp, at least. If the Spurs locked him up with the non-guaranteed contract, they need to get a look at him before dumping him.
EDIT - On second thought, would they need to cut him before a specific date to stop that contract from getting guaranteed?
hairston, gist, mihinmi, blair will be on the spurs roster
mcclinton might spend alot of time in austin might get called down a home game or two if the spurs decide to rest ginobili but hope we dont cut hairston again i love this kid he remind me of the second coming of ariza

I noted this in another thread, but according to the link spursdotcom posted, Ian Mahinmi is 6'11" and 250 pounds. He's bulked up a bit.
Williams missing summer league probably is a good thing. Him doing well in summer league wouldn't really tell the Spurs anything. The rest of these guys have a lot more work to do and their development will dictate whether other moves are needed in free agency.
Does not change the fact that giving up the rights to hairston for the rights to williams was stupid. The guy is not fast enough, and has a ed up jump shot, not a good defender....what the were they thinking. Malik actually played spot minutes, already, and proved he could hang. Not playing him summer league just means they are convinced of the same things they were before they reserved his rights. Not a necessarily good thing.
Hill, Blair, Gist, and Mahinmi would give the Spurs a look they haven't had in a while.
Would be interesting, would force Gist into that 3 we need him for.
Spurs get young, long, and athletic overnight.
Would the next logical progression be, no ?![]()
Oh, and this roster is absolutely ridiculous.![]()
I thought I would never hear this.![]()
fixed
i jsut had too
no
Meh, Malik didn't go anywhere.
I think Orlando's might be deeper. Too bad we don't play them.
