You still ing about people mistreating your fake lying greek ass?
First of all once again that is a 5 plus years old picture. The arena has been expanded and upgraded since then and there are two more expansion and upgrades yet to be done in next couple years.
Besides there is obviously something wrong with you that you get such joy from bashing the infrastructure of other countries. Very pathetic behavior from you and many others here that do the same.
You still ing about people mistreating your fake lying greek ass?
pictures? links?
LIES! LIES! LIES!
pictures of small Greek league arenas are all old or fake or old fakes.
ALL Greek arenas have been upgraded and expanded in the last 5 year, the smallest is now 10000 seats, the largest is unknown, because none can count the huge number.
all pictures and informations from small arenas in the internet are American propaganda. America has invented the internet to spread false information about Greek sports infrastructure all around the world.
wait, of course America stole the internet from us, we had it first.
I repeat: Greek arenas are the best and biggest in the world and Spanoulis is better than any NBA point guard.
Once again you are an ahole and a liar. And you did not even know that Euroleague teams must have 5,000 arena or they cannot even play in the league and you did not know that the new rule is changed to 10,000 and starts this year with only exceptions being for 2 years for teams with 5,000 arena and are building a new 10,000 one in next 2 years.
You claim to be such the expert on European basketball and did not even know a basic fact or the most talked about new rule of the last years.
Capacity: 18,700 (for basketball) or 16,700 (for gymnastics)

Access by :
Car - Exit the city centre to the north via Kifissias Avenue and just follow the roadsigns to the "Olympic Stadium". If you come from the Attiki Odos ring road, use exit 11 (signposted "Kifissias, Olympic Stadium").
Bus - Use X14 from Syntagma Square directly to the Olympic Sports Complex.
Metro - The ride from the city centre takes 25 minutes. Use line 1 and get off at "Irini". From there it is a 5min walk through the Olympic Complex to the Sports Hall.

It seems as though there are very few teams with a large arena. The bigger clubs do, but the majority are no bigger than 5,000 seating. I haven't gone through every single team yet, but so far those are the largest I've seen.

Edit: These are all Greek arenas. I don't know what league they play for, just got it from a Greek website talking about the stadiums in Greece.

There are about 3 or 4 arenas that have seating for more than 10,000 people. Then there are 3 or 4 that have 3,000-5,000 seating capacity. There are at least 50 arenas mentioned. 13 of them don't mention or have pictures of the arena. The remaining ones have 2,000 seating or less.

I went to a high school of only 1400 students, and our high school gym would literally dwarf that place. You could probably set it inside of ours and still have room to play basketball.![]()
Once again there are MANY big arenas they are just not being used right now. There are state of the art arenas sitting empty all over Athens.
This is not even in the Greek League.
This is not a Division 1 arena and also again that is an OLD picture. That arena was also expanded and renovated about 2 years ago.
Why the are only pictures from 5 years ago being posted here? Almost every arena being posted was renovated and expanded in this time. And of course no one wants to post all the great arenas 2 of which are bigger than most NBA arenas and 1 that is considered to be one of the best in Europe.
all I said is, that your claim that all euroleague teams ALREADY HAVE arenas bigger than 10.000, because otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to play euroleague, is false.
and I was right.
end of story.
From the website of a Greek A1 team. According to their website, this facility seats 1242.

You are WRONG and just LIED again.
Can't you even read the damn rules right? Starting THIS SEASON ALL Euroleague clubs must have at least 10,000 arena. The ONLY exception is if a team has a 5,000 at least arena and is ALSO building CURRENTLY a 10,000 arena that will be done in 2 years. Otherwise if their CURRENT arena is under 10,000 they CANNOT play THIS YEAR.
Damn you are stupid.
They are building a new arena right now you idiot.
Son, that looks like a square basketball court!
So that's how they play in Greece![]()
Eurocup attendance figures from the 08-09 season. Despite playing their home Eurocup games in a modern 15000 seat arena, the lowest attendance figures from more than 30 teams around Europe are held by two Greek League teams.
Average attendance for 6 home games:
Maroussi 603
Panellinios 442
Why are so few Greek fans attending the games of Athens-based teams involved in Eurocup compe ion?

John Stamos agrees.
Olympiacos arena - 16,000
Panionios and Panellinios arena - 15,000

Does John Stamos get mobbed when he goes to Greece? I'm sure he is a national hero.
