Doesn't matter. The principle still stands, you just use a different isotope that has a longer half life than carbon 14 to get a more accurate result. It might help if you didn't use resources with an agenda.

Very true. Carbon-14 has a half-life of 5,730 years. It works great for organic items maybe as far as 100,000 years back, but it a tricky process since the creation of C-14 changes with solar changes.

I forget what isotopes are used for long term analysis, but it's not C-14.
