So was this game about poor Laker play, good OKC play, or some combo?

The Thunder threw this game away. If this Lakers team shows up tomorrow night we will run them into the ground.

Grammys/Award shows in LA...they have one of the roughest road schedules in January every year. Lakers pay for it in double later on with lots of B2B's.
    Tears. I am crying.

You're right. Ever since they relocated the Oscars to Fresno it's been much better on the Lakers' schedule.

OKC is extremely scrappy and talented, but not seasoned. If Durant shows up with his head on strait, they win going away.

The Lakers have 3-4 great players but the rest of the team is pretty crappy. It will be a lot of heavy lifting for the starters all year.

    Stupid Laker turnovers.

    Defensive intensity by the Thunda.

    Playing on NBATV.

Stupid 100pt jinx by the announcers.

4th quarter young guys playing against a veteran team.

He is correct. Did you even see the missed open shots, free throws, Durant getting tired after carrying the team over the 1st three quarters?

Durant sucks, the OKC are never going anywhere with him as the centerpiece.

    10-24 (0-8 from 3), 28 pts yet 7 turnovers.

He takes horrible shots, that shot at the end of regulation where he had 20+ seconds the best shot he could get was a long 3 ball when your 0-7 for the night? C'mon already.

I like how we can go on the road with stars down, Kobe sick, and kick the out of teams.
I wouldn't say you "kicked" the out of them. A win is a win though/

28 points over 3 quarters is not carrying the team where no one scored double figures with the exception of Green in those 3 quarters? You got something you are smoking? You got the win, be happy with it. Besides, Durant is like 21 years old, not 23. He has to work on his conditioning.

I always wondered why the Lakers are always blessed with such an easy start to their season. They get crap loads of home games, and their road games are against scrub teams.
It's because there are other things going on at Staples later in the season. We always have an extended road trip. It all evens out. You play 41 home and 41 away. If you play all the crap teams early...it only means you get to tough ones later.

The Staples Center happens to be the home of the LA Clippers and the LA Kings also. It also hosts Grammy’s, the World Figure Skating Championships and a ton of other events like concerts, circus etc. Each season the Lakers have a “Grammy road trip” which is the equivalent of the Bulls circustrip or the Spurs Rodeo trip. The Lakers Grammy trip is usually the longest road trip any team has each year. They also play on the West coast which means they travel more miles than almost any other team.

Durant choked like it was nobody business.
TBH, Lakers look fairly average without Gasol. It might just be that it's only a few games intothe season.
    Anyways, entertaining game.

I don't mind people trashing the Lakers and talking , that adds to the fun.

But giving credit, that's un-expected and very cool.
