Ok, so would it be OK for him to say he owned Duncan in the first game, sinse he was the guy defending him man on man for the first three and a half quarters and was a big part of the 7-22?
He made one idiotic quote. The one about foul trouble. Fine. I don't see how the rest were rude at all. I didn't see a lot of Spurs players or fans riding Dre's jock after he torched TP the first game. Nor did I see those same people giving credit to KMart's D that night.
Instead, they talked about the fact the Nuggets made some nice adjustments, the 8 point rally at the end of the half took the life out of them (yeah, right) and what they needed to do to be better.
You wouldn't have been happy with anything that wasn't along the lines of "TD is a living breathing God and we are just lucky and honored to be playing the Spurs."
Sorry, he isn't going to do that. KMart is the enforcer on this team. The guy with the at ude. The Nuggets feed off of that. KMart will give the Spurs all the credit in the world when the series is over.
As for him being owned by TD, I've always found it laughable. TD has 2 inches and twenty pounds on KMart. He should own him. He's especially going to own him if he's hitting the midrange shot and his teammates are raining down threes preventing hard double teams.
TD shreds a lot of guys. Just so happens everytime he rips KMart, people focus on it. They forget about all the times KMart holds him to under 50% shooting. Something he did three times in that Finals series a few years ago, not many players can do that so consistently. Instead of getting credit for that, KMart was shredded for allowing TD to go off in games five and six.
I'm an objectionable fan who isn't busy defending every Denver player. I just find nothing wrong or insulting with the quotes. Quite the opposite, they are exactly what I'd expect.
