    Yeah I agree

Constantly being abused by an Older / Bigger brother that would do anything not to let you grow and steals the best of you generates that

What comes around goes around... We'll see in the next 10 years how the saga continues...
    like I said, hilarious

    Check your facts...

Uruguay 2 WC, 2 Gold Medals and SAME amount of Copa America's as Argentina...
oops, wrong column... good thing its not the 1930s no more
libertadores i got the right column: 22 argentina > 13+8 (brazil + uruguay)
a 30 million country has 1 more than 3million uruguayans and 190 million brazilians together

thank you for admitting you are trolling, I hope uruguay wins their group, just so you dont have to stomach maradona celebrating again

lol 1987 (on their own tournament) and 1989 World championship team beat by a 3 million third world country with Maradona on the field

8 cups 3 million, 22 cups 30 million... check the numbers to see who is the better soccer blooded nation...

thank you for admitting you are trolling
send a memo to DAF and ManuManiac who didn't originally get it
    props to ElNono though

I hope uruguay wins their group, just so you dont have to stomach maradona celebrating again
I'll take it that you're sure that Argentina would beat Uruguay in the next round?

I'm sure that argentina will beat whoever comes out of group A. if they dont, its a massive failure/injury/ref conspiracy. but we have the team to beat whoever comes out, easy, and if they dont i'll be extremely disappointed.

Don't make comments like that, everytime an Argie opens the mouth during this WC, the complete opposite happens.

    lol Elnono and Heinze

    lol MaNuMaNiac and Higuain

because you said most uruguayans support brazil, and were talking about beating us in copa america, i said brazil and uruguay together havent won as many copa america and libertadores as argentina, but I was wrong about the copa america, when i checked how many uruguay won I read the column for modern era not total. libertadores the point stands.

anyways, you boasting about 87 and 89 is like me boasting about argentina winning 57 and 59 (around brazil's 58 and 62 WC uber loaded teams). WC >>>>>>>>>>> copa america

you're still not better than us on that regard and actually just in 2008 you were able to match the gold medal count...

BUT we won 2 gold medals when the Olympics WERE the WC mate... if I count that...

    4 WC > 2 WC and 2 U23 Gold Medals

Honestly, you can argue all you want. The fact is Uruguay has been inconsequential for decades now. You talking smack as if you're back to being among the elite teams of the world is laughable. You talk about hype, but in this thread you're practically the only one overhyping your team. How's that for trolling?

Either way, we'll see once we meet in the round of 16. I fully expect Mexico to beat Uruguay and grab first place in the group.

you're the one who came into an argentina game thread talking , i didnt even look at the uruguay thread because i'm not worried at all about who comes out of group A. if you are so sure of your team and want to get the rivalry on, just go ahead and make a bet, otherwise you look like an insecure laker fan.

    and at ffaddicted

where did pele, didi, garrincha, jairzinho, zico, tostao, rivelino play 90-100% of their careers? if di stefano, maradona, sivori had spent 75% of their careers in argentina, we'd have an even bigger lead.

riquelme 3 libertadores in 10 years in boca, Veron sr. with 3 in 11 for estudiantes, yet greatest of all time pele 2 libertadores in 17 with santos

and robinho, adriano, roberto carlos and ronaldo are really helping you with that theory too, next you'll tell me its because argentine clubs have more money

Barking up the wrong tree, I hate robinho pretty much at least 95% of the time lol

And diego, that was so long ago, and all the guys you listed nowadays are old and pretty much suck now, or went home for nostalgia (lol adriano fatass). Love me some Seria A Brasileirao action, but if you're not in Europe you are mediocre in brasil, just look at our national squad. That's why our teams never move forward, and only stay really good for a 2-3 years max. Their stars always get snatched up, rightfully so. It's just like the NBA/Euro Leagues.

ff, you said our mediocre > your mediocre, thats not true, unless you consider pele, zico, and all the other i mentioned mediocre. and there are many more great brazilian players that spent large parts of their career at home but did not win libertadores trophies (socrates is another that comes to mind).

I dont love brasil, but I have respect. national team, especially over the last 20 years, you guys are better than us. and you have had many, many great players, much more than us. but on the club level argentina has been better, and its not because our players dont go to europe.
