Yes of course. That 06 team won Eurobasket in Belgrade a year earlier by playing some of the best defense I have seen at international level, and in the WC beat the US and was defeated by a great Spanish team.

This team has already lost two games, with the one against Turkey being pretty much a blowout in the second half. But somehow, with all this evidence we are to believe that this team is much better. It doesn't quite add up now does it?

Say whatever the you want, those are all good players or were then but not the same as what we have now.

Zisis > Hatzivrettas

Bourousis > Papadopoulos

Perperoglou > Vasilopoulos

Kaimakoglou > Dikoudis

Of course Dikoudis is better than Vouyoukas but it does not matter really because Dikoudis was a key player and Voyuoukas is not. Printezis and Kaimakoglou takes the minutes Dikoudis have. Printezis is about the same probably and Kaimakoglou is better.

Of course Papaloukas is 10 times better than Calathes. But that's just one player. You act like just because Papaloukas is gone that we can't win. This is a joke right? Papaloukas is the smartest player in Europe but he's never been the leader of the team. That's Spanoulis. And as long as we have Spanoulis we can get by without Papaloukas against most teams.

Spain with Pau? No. But without him? Yes. And to say Spanoulis never hits outside shots just proved what a dumb ass you are. You are totally talking out of your ass now. Spanoulis is considered the best shooter off the dribble in Europe.

And very nice of you to forget Theo in all of this, the main man of that team, and one of the best PGs in Europe of the decade, and the man who ran everything for Greece during those years. You are a moron. Spanoulis is a better point guard than Papaloukas has ever been. Papaloukas is a great player, he's no Spanoulis and never was. Diamantidis is washed up. He's still better SF than Rudy is though.

You are smoking crack just like all the other NBA fans. Spanoulis can all over the Spanish and even the US point guards. I would be much more worried about Slovene point guards than Spain's point guards for example.

Nobody wants to see you run the forum man!! There are 1000 forum members that don't like Greece, so do you really think they'll all want to bet you cause of your team.

All that V-Span and Bourusis bull its really just bull . You can't go and say that Span will make it in the NBA, cause he's really just a player for Euroleague and not for the NBA. A lot of guys were great in Europe and then sucked in the US. But there are also guys that sucked in Europe or were not that good and then they were better in the NBA.

And I really think Spain will defeat Greece, just as I think they'll defeat Serbia after that. And no Greece doesnt have better players than Spain as you said it. Some of them are even or close, but Spain overall's got a better team. Only Rucky Rubio is a real scrub on that team, and I really don't know why the is he a starter.

How will Spain guard Spanoulis and Sofo? Without Pau they won't beat us. I am pretty sure.
