Yeah I was LOLing at that .
Great job by the B Team. I'll be the first to admit that I questioned if they had the ability to pull it off, but Coach K really put together a cohesive and pesky defensive squad in a short amount of time.

OdoMVP the only one not going ballistic in the celebration. You can tell he's the only one of them who's won before.![]()
Durant is a monster, god damn...
Oden is better though.
Hedo looked fat and out of shape out there. Going to be one of a season for PHX fans.
I hated it though that USA was chucking stupid threes left and right.
at whipping out his schlong.
LOL homecooking
LOL still choking your freethrows
And you needed polish roots to bring you back to the throne
turkey is booing the US national anthem.
stick a fork in these turkeys, americans!!!
The answer is no
I completely agree--I was cringing on more than a couple of those 3 point attempts. Still, it speaks volumes that our B team can around like that and still come up roses.
Durant, you are (grudgingly) my favorite longhorn. Props on a splendid tourney!![]()
This Championship proves that USA basketball is way better than the rest of the world. There's not as much difference as in 1990s, but still US players are the best in the world.
Could they lose games? Of course they could! If you don't play at your best, a worse player who's giving his soul is able to beat you. There's no team who's losing before the game. And in the rest of the world there are pretty good teams too, with decent players and a good organization.
But if US team plays at his best, nobody can beat it. No Kobe, no LeBron, no D-Wade, no Anthony, Duncan, Bosh, Rip Hamilton, Pierce, Garnett, Rondo, Kidd, D-Howard, J-Johnson, Stoudamire, Boozer, Butler...and sorry if I forgot some other big name. Yet they won, and they won easy enough.
I'll tell you this, from Italy: truth is there are at least 100 NBA American players who are able to win a World Compe ion, call it World Championship or Olympic Games. Give to the team a good coach who train the players well and make 'em defend hard, playing as a team, and you're able to win, even without your best talents...
If they take seriously the challenge every time, it'll be really hard to beat team USA in the future...
Don't worry, this was before Feb 1, 2008, so I don't expect you to know![]()
