You are a clown. It's about matchups. Look it up. The Lakers were 2-1 against the Mavs that year and 2-2 against the Clips.

Kobe quitting in game 7 is a joke at best. We were down 58-50 at the half - despite Kobe going off. So PJ made us change our strategy. Then we actually outstcored the Suns by 8 in the 3rd to go into the 4th tied at 75. Then we were outscored by 5 in the 4th losing by 5 measly points to a powerhouse Phoenix squad. Kobe still had a game high 22 that night as he was trying to get players like Cook, Kwame, Smush Parker, Lamar Odom and Luke Walton off. In other words PJ mandated that we try a more balanced attack. , it almost worked too.

It is too convenient for non-Laker fans to say Kobe quit. He did what PJ told him to do just like he sacrificed his game for Shaq. Either way Kobe can't win with you losers. But, as long as he keeps collecting it's all good.
The Cavaliers would have won the NBA finals if they had beaten the Celtics then with your logic. I mean, they were 2-0 against the Lakers last season.

Match ups my ass. The Clippers had prime Elton Brand and Chris Kaman, a way better frontcourt than Kwame Brown and Lamar Odom. How is that for match ups? You showed that you are a re with your posts.

Elton Brand, in that season averaged 24.7 points, 10 rebounds and 2.6 assists. He averaged 25.4 points, 10.3 rebounds and 4 assists in the playoffs. No player on the Lakers could have stopped him.

Oh snap, I'm getting trolled. You logged back in just to with me. That deserves a , a , and a .

I don't give a what Brand averaged. They were a better team than the Lakers record wise, yet we still split the season series with them. In the end, they are still the Clippers and the Lakers own their asses. The Lakers edge with Kobe v. whoever they have guarding him >>>> any matchup advantage Brand had over our bigs. A quick double team to get the ball out of his hands would have been employed.

And don't compare the Cavs to the Lakers. Those losers lost to the team we beat in game 7. Yet they swept the season series against us. It's about matchups. We matched up better with the Celtics than we did against them in the regular season. The playoffs, however, are a different animal homeboy. The cream always rises to the top.
