The only reason Cats are ever even taken seriously in this age-old debate is (A) women (B) Lions/Tigers/Panthers (C) lonely men who wish they were women.

Dogs are far superior to the domesticated cat. There is no compe ion. This is just a fact.
Once again phobia and misogyny as justification. Its amazing how many men in this forum are intimidated by women.

Nah. I have no problem with gay people. Even those little yappy dogs show more emotion than the domesticated cat. You might as well get a goldfish and save the $$ on the kitty litter.

Cleaning your ass versus eating every piece of cat you can get your muzzle into or any really? is there much of a difference?
sorry huge difference between licking and eating . most dogs don't eat , but I need to go give mine a bath. Crap.

    Species A cleans itself rarely.

    Species B cleans itself often.

Which is the cleaner species, in your opinion?
Obviously, if all things are equal, it's species B. But this situation isn't equal.

What I'm saying is not that hard to understand. An animal physically grooming/bathing themselves isn't necessarily indicative on whether or not they are a clean species. I'm just using a different meaning of the word clean. By clean, I'm referring to bacteria they carry, diseases they carry, and their overall state of living, etc. Not necessarily if their exterior is cleaned, although of course there's likely a correlation. Birds bathe in water often and that's considered cleaning themselves, but they're still a disgusting species, as they carry tons of bacteria, eat worms/bugs/etc.

Just because they have a means of physically cleaning their exterior isn't the end-all-be-all comparison as to whether are not they're cleaner than another species. Same with all sorts of animals...rats, chicken, pigs, etc.
