I think that if given the chance Manu during his prime could have been a number one guy in a winning NBA team (which is not the same as a championship team), and I think he proved that even beign past his prime he was able to lead the Spurs to pretty good records is some of these last couple of years, the thing is that he alwsy had Duncan in his teams and no matter who the guy was that was playing better or taking more responsabilities it was always gonna be "Duncan's team" look at the '08 season or the second half of last season. Are you telling me that a prime Ginobili wouldn't have been able to duplicate that? I don't care what you think I know that Manu's underrated.

But, to get back on track I agree with Brazil Mavs in 5 or 6. Many are saying is one star vs three. But it's actually a team with a star against a star and a half (Lebron beign the star with Wade beign the half star because of his injury and crappy play lately. I think Bosh will be a non factor) with a bunch of scrubs next to them, the only players that could make a difference (Miller and Haslem) are disminished. And I know Miami is a great defensive team, but I think that Dallas beign a jumpshooting team will play to its advantage.

So now we're going to pretend the West had lesser playoff compe ion than the East? Portland would have given the majority of the East a very difficult time. The Lakers were quite formidable after the All-Star break and were chosen by most to beat the Mavs, issues and all. OKC would have trucked Chicago even worse than the Heat did.

Mavs are 7-1 at home. I think they take Game 1 at Miami and win the three home games in a row.

I'm not leaving out the bulls my point was (in difficulty):

    Portland >>>>> Phily
    Lakers >> Boston

    and I do agree

Chicago >> OKC even if both teams have the same issue not being capable to execute properly the last 6 minutes of a game. Untill the last 6 mn chicago is better, during the last chicago and okc are both trash.

Therefore Dallas opponents were more difficult to handle than Miami ones by the 2>1 logic.

Why everybody is acting like Miami will win this serie ?

Dallas swept the defending champs, they won 12 POs games so far and lost only 3. Dirk is playing the best bb of his life and he is a clutch mofo, of all the POs teams mavs are the only ones to execute properly in the fourth when the game is on the line.

I'm sorry to say that but the Mavs are the favorites against Miami, they will win this serie in 6. If not I'd call that a choke job.
Miami has won 12 and lost 3 as well, & have you not seen Dwyane Wade and Bron in crunch time they've murdered the celtics & bulls.

And Bron is playing the best overall BB of his life & has been clutch, then add D wade that equals no chance for mavs. They'll expose dirk for what he is a glorified/great Stoudemire.

Bosh will dominate Dirk, book it.

The Mavs have had a great playoff run- who can honestly say that they predicted a sweep of the Lakers? They finally seem to have developed some mental toughness in late game situations and appeared to have buried the ghosts of 2006 & 2007.

But, I think that those ghosts are going to come back and haunt them in the Finals. Look for the Mavs to struggle with foul trouble the entire series. Wade & Lebron will continually lower their heads and take it to the hoop and the Mavs will be buried by a steady parade of foul shots from Wade, Lebron and even Bosh. Mavs can't cover all three and at least one, if not two of them will have a good game every night.

Unfortunately, Heat in 5 or 6.

But it HAS been a great and unexpected run by the Mavs!

Between two teams solid like Miami and Dallas, there won't be blow out loss. All will be in line before the last 6 - 8 minutes. To win these crucial minutes you need 2 elements: proper execution and a player clutch capable to take over.

Regarding execution Dallas has the clear advantage, what Miami is doing is just let Lebron or Wade with the ball and watch them doing their stuff alone. With Dallas you have a team distributing the ball and capable to give the ball to Dirk in good conditions.

If Dirk keeps on playing like he did untill now thats a draw with Dirk and Lebron or Wade.

These last minutes are dallas property. If dallas doesn't choke the serie is over in 6.

Either people haven't watched any games of the Heat in these playoffs or just don't know about basketball. Heat in 6 haven't been wrong thus far. Heat have had the best defense in these playoffs by far and defense wins championships...
