I met Joel Myers last December at LAX as he was departing for the Sun Bowl, I told him I was from SA and we had a good 30 min conversation. This guy likes to party (from what he told me) and a really cool guy. He asked what I was in LA for and I told him I was in town for the Rose bowl and another 10 min conversation.
This is a cool guy to talk sports with, and he called me partner twice.

Funny -- Pop acted in the Hill situation because his players told him to. Oh yeah, and he happened to be Bob Hill's boss. If he was in position to HIRE Bob Hill, he sure was in position to FIRE Bob Hill.
By the way, I've noticed the great success that Hill and O'Keeffe have had as a coach and sportswriter, respectively, since leaving San Antonio. Either Pop was dead on right about both of those guys, or he has some immense power to deter any and all prospective employers from ever giving those guys another gig. I'd tend to stick with the latter.
