The NBA got the series it wanted and the outcome it wanted even if it finally could not pull a rabbit out and skew it to 7 games or some like that.

Re this "artificially induced" finals, I am sure a lot watched and some even cared, that the Heat destroyed the Thunder.

Meanwhile, in all honestly, by far the two best and complete teams (the Bulls and Spurs) were home due to injuries or spurrious officiating at key moments and count the fans of the Celtics, Lakers and Mavs as also rightfully pissed off that their teams simply count not stand in the way of a dream match to end a shortened season. It iwll be peculiar for sure, that for some reason this season unlike the 99 season will not have an * attached to it; but one should be and doubled down as **2012 champs, for in reality the Heat are still a beatable team with no depth and poor skill at at least two positions, but whom somehow got the games called the way they needed for their superstars and of course "redeemed themselves" after last years seemingly equally scripted defeat where the NBA Gods placated Cuban finally.

Therefore, to get in step with what the Commish and the NBA Gods want many of you will coronate the King and revive his countdown to 7. You will surely pray and hope that Howard gets what the he really wants. You even will hope D. Williams goes to the Lakers or some such crap as that.
A few of you wil surely also hope that things will work out well for the Lottery lucky (or enhanced) Hornets who went from being owned by the NBA to a tax write off for a car salesman.

However, count me out of really caring for the NBA so much anymore.

For as my 14 y/o said, Dad if they are not going to even give them a chance with the calls why the should we watch or even care anymore? One should not and I cannot - so out for at least a long, long time.

Well sticks, I just got done plowing Mrs. Rummpd's balloon knot and lemme tell ya, that thing was wider than the fahkin Massachussetts Turnpike. That thing was so big, you could fit all of the mighty Boston Celtics championship trophies in there and still have room for Larry ing Legend's MVPs.

The then fell asleep before round 2 so I gave her a mighty Boston Pancake with a little icing on her chest. After I was done, I made sure to leave her a wicked New England Steamer between the sheets. It was Wicked Pissah!!!

Completely false, you don't have to goto grad school to become an engineer. Getting into a U.S medical school is insanely compe ive, a third of my classmates are engineers ranging from Chem, EE, to Nuclear. The ones that do major in engineering are smarter than the ones that major in something easy for the GPA boost though.

You'd be surprised how socially awkward some of them are and how limited their communication skills are outside of the medical field. I've met some brilliant physicians that sounded like they had brain damage once you started talking about something beyond medicine.

Yes, this is true, but for them to emerge as socially awkward idiots they have to have ridiculous stats (40+ MCAT) to get in, thats what the interviews are mainly for. To prune the drones that aren't capable of conversing normally. I know someone that scored a 41 on his MCAT and still didn't get in anywhere because the dude just couldn't talk.

I have a couple friends who will make great doctors (even doing her PhD at the same time). But I know many scros so deseprate to become a doctor they end up going to med school in the Caribbean . Some people even go to grad school first so they could re-apply to med school in a smaller pool.

I have told everyone that has asked me about the carribean route that it is the biggest scam ever. You goto either a US or Canadian medical school. Residency spots are being curbed to the point that 99% of them are going to be given to U.S grads (in the 70s and 80s it used to be 60-70%). If you graduate outside of the U.S, you better be one smart mofo and have a USMLE Step-1 score >260 to guarantee yourself a spot. If you don't get a residency position, you won't be able to practice medicine. I know someone that went to the Carribean and has been trying to get a residency spot for 5 yrs now, I feel bad for him, but he could have re-applied several times or done something post-bac and gotten into a D.O school perhaps.

TBH, this happens a lot. The sad part if you ask them how many med schools they applied to, you have to multiply their answer X5 to get the truth. One guy I know was trying to get into med school since undergrad, never said a word about it. 4 years later his facebook status changes "I got in!!!"

I actually have a lot of respect for people that have had to apply multiple times. Its a crapshoot and qualified individuals are still snubbed. I had a friend that majored in Biomedical Engineering from UT with a 3.8 and had to apply twice to get in.

Your family doctor was undoubtedly a hard worker in his early years (got through medical school), but he's probably not blowing the doors off any IQ tests. The smartest doctors go into surgery or a specialized field of medicine, where the money is.

I'm sure Rummpd is a decent guy, but I wouldn't trust that re ed sob to provide anything resembling a proper medical diagnosis.

Yea its true that Family Medicine (the residency position--not "Family Practice") is the easiest to get into. I don't know why people are under the misconception that surgery is hard to get into though. General Surgery is pretty simple, most people don't want to do it because it requires a lot more work without the same compensation. There is also a lot of litigation involved. Orthopedics, Plastics, and Vascular are surgical fields that do pay alot but are also super compe ive, but doing internal med ---> fellowship (G.I/Cardio) can make you almost as much money with way less work. Medicine > Surgery in the long run IMO. Money shouldn't be the biggest motivator in going to a field though, if you love pedicatrics, go into that as opposed to Plastics even though one pays more than the other.
