tbh, not really true. Team USA just needs to lose some of the extra baggage that's only there to watch the game... *cough*Kobe*cough*
When ARG beat this Lithuania team by 20, people were saying they were ... Lithuania is a good team

Not really that bad, tbh.
No. Anyone's silver.
lebron showing again why he's the best basketball player in the world
Lithuania is a good team, much better than that piece of Greek team that didn't qualify
Kobrick
Needing LeGold and Chuckmelo to carry him past Lithuania
Would be funny as if Kirilenko and the Russians took it to Dream Team 2012. Not to mention that now France, Spain and Argentina will be motivated as .
“I think the American team is the best team in the world right now,” Andrei Kirilenko said. “But in a one-game situation, anything can happen. Every game is different. You might score 156 points in one game but the next game is different … and I’d love to play the U.S. for a gold medal, but we’re a long way from that. But you have to play the best to beat the best.”
Dream Team 2012 better than Dream Team 92![]()
Argentina fir gold, book it!
Manu with a broken hand, book it!
Wouldn't surprise me, tbh... but now you're just hatin'
Naw, Argentina has a good shot at silver
You and FkLA should dress up in the national Argentina colors
Disagree, tbh. I don't know they'll medal this time around. PG hurting, Scola not playing well, and Manu is the only guy looking decent, but with a game every other day, TOSB is gonna creep in eventually.
They need to beat Nigeria today and qualify to the 2nd round because they gonna get raped by Team USA monday.
Ya, Arg does not have a good shot at a Silver, or a medal overall. They can do it, but at this point Gold for USA, Silver to Russia or Spain, Bronze a little more open.
Argentina would be ecstatic with just medaling... any color... For a country with basically no basketball culture, any medal is major.
That excuse is kind of out the door now, El Nono. When you when a Gold and have several NBA players, you aren't hiding anymore in the basketball world.
Argentina hasnt produced any young talent tbh. Their golden generation has aged, any medal would be a good way to go out for them imo.
It's no excuse, tbh. They're old, that's just fact. That's like pretending that Duncan's decline has nothing to do with being a TOSB. He's still good enough to help a great team, but he isn't the guy you can lean on to take you to the promised land anymore.
This Argentina team is similar in that respect. They're a great collection of veterans, whose biggest asset is the fact that they've played together for a long time, but they ain't running away from father time. Their realistic ceiling is a medal of any color.
I agree with that, that's reality. I was talking about the basketball culture comment.
Well, that's true too. But perhaps somebody that actually lives in ARG can comment. A lot of people thought this team would make basketball flourish in Argentina, but it didn't happen. It's largely a soccer nation. Which is actually more reason to cherish the last few moments of this team.
Speaking of Lithuania, I always forget to include Sabonis when it comes to curse of centers drafted by Portland. Does he join Walton, Bowie, and Oden due to his multiple injuries? He was a talented 1st round pick as well.
