I asked Nicolas Batum why he hit Juan-Carlos Navarro in the groin. "I wanted to give him a good reason to flop," Batum said.

Spain doesn't look like anything special this time around, tbh...

That's just so not classy... Batum just cost himself a chance to be a Spur in the future

He gave forced long shots. What helps do you expect when your playmaker keep the ball? Batu should hit him in the face.

Parker was great on D and failed big time on O. So did his teammates
(And FYI, de collo was carrying the load in the middle of the 4th and hasn't done either)

Bottom line is, I strongly dislike Spain but i recognize that once again, they are the better team, once again, they send us home.

De Colo isn't so good to be the key but I was expecting more from him too.

Didn't Noah play last summer? Spain won easier than today

But we are playing awful in the Olympics. I was sure France could beat us.

Ugh. Disappointing end for the FNT. Got an unlucky draw with Spain and then had the win ... only to lose it.

Oh well, at least they are healthy and hopefully motivated.

Indeed that's not classy, but neither is tanking and flopping in the Olympics. Go Russia!

Running up and trying to punch another guy in the junk violates every known man-rule. Weak move by Batum, tbh.

    Rung lower.

Tony and Diaw with a big chip on their shoulders might not be a bad thing.

Turiaf's foul on Rudy Fernandez was fine because Rudy Fernandez is a and he got what he deserved.
Batum deserved to be called out for what he did. Navarro is a great player and punching him just because he flops is stupid. A true ty move for which he deserved a suspension for a couple of games.

Wow, watching that in slow motion is painful. That's probably going to follow Batum around for a very long time. You can see the intent written on his face. During the game it looked more inadvertent.

Batum apologized on his twitter for the foul on Navarro. He isn't a bad guy but he really lacks of self control. And yeah, it's a big difference with Kawhi who is great a keeping his composure despite being so young.

Horrible coaching by Collett (sp?) down the stretch. He sat Diaw for far too long, even though he was their best player in the game. He ran Parker into the ground, even though it was obvious Parker was gassed by late third. Then he pulls Batum mid-way through the fourth for a quick break, as they're in the midst of going scoreless for 11 straight trips. Still, it was within' France's grasp down the stretch, if they had run anything resembling an offense. I know he was gassed, but I'm surprised that at some point during the drought, Parker didn't attempt to take over and will them to victory. He seemed content spotting up.

If France even had their full compliment of players and had them play together some and build a semblance of chemistry, they could be a handful. But Beaubois and M. Pietrus never seem to play for them and there's always some reason why Noah pulls out. Mahinmi wasn't their this time either and Petro, as usual, wasn't selected (yeah, I know he's terrible, but he's still 7-0 and can make the odd jumper; two things they could desperately use). You can talk about Pietrus and Mahinmi not having had contracts when training camp started, but neither do Barbosa and Delfino, yet they're playing for their countries.

At least we broke their hearts in handball.

France without Noah had no chance against Spain. Loss is on him tbh, he doesn't give a about FNT smoking weed with his .

Happy for Argentina for their semi.

Oh, so that's what Batum was trying to do.
