skwissgarr and toki are good guitarists too
meh, Toki would be nowhere without Skwissgarr. Still a really nice guy though![]()
lol
Toki's underrated he just needs to grow a scrot
He plays all of Skiwssgar's guitar parts in the Deathklok cover band!
Vai has always been better than Satriani anyways.
faster doesn't always mean better.
okay?
I could care less about fast, tbh.
are you saying Toki's a pussy?
the look on Murderface's face. Storming over to confront Toki and then sees this
Toki: "What the do you want, mother er!?"
Murderface: "Uh, hey bro, whats up?"
Paul Waggoner from BTBAM is easily mine. Guy can play pretty much any style around, which is not what most people think when they think of metal guitar players.
For different reasons:
Brian ing May
Zappa
James Honeyman-Scott
Doug Gillard
Ry Cooder
Junior Brown
Marc Ribot
Mike Oldfield
Robert Fripp
Danny Gatton
Whoever played for the Mahotella Queens
Marc Bolan
Billy Gibbons
Billy Corigan (hate the guy, but he can play his ass off)
Joe Pass
Gilberto Gil
Blind Blake
Kevin Shields
King Sunny Ade
Wes Burt-Martin
Hank Garland
Jay Mascis
Doug Martsch
Matt Sweeney
Pete Townshend
Jody Williams/Magic Sam/Otis Rush (whoever it turns out to be that played on Rush's Cobra sides)
I don't really have a fav guitar player but I've been checking out a lot of Beck lately. That dude can play. His Ronnie Scott vid is nothing short of awesome.
One of my personal favs right under SRV.......

Stevie Stevens. Is a beast.
Love Santana, but Peter Green blew him away. Tone on that '59 Gibson is sick.
Not to diminish his playing in the least, but I remember reading a guitar mag in HS in which they said that when Gibson took apart Green's Les Paul to do a "signature" reissue, they discovered it had an improperly soldered connection that knocked his signal out of phase ever so slightly to help give him that immediately recognizable sound.
Throwing this one up just because it has a great off-kilter solo, and because of the people on the stage that night made an oddly good group: Kevin Ayers, John Cale, Nico, Mike Oldfield, and Brian Eno.
not my favorite but close. hate that he turned into a weebo.
