I have one dog outside and one inside. My dog outside has a huge privacy fenced yard to run around in and a very large covered deck to lay under. The whole back yard is covered in a tree canopy so it stays tolerable as far as heat goes. The top level of the deck sees over the fence so he stays up there all the time, watching whats going on in the yards next door. I go check on him every day and he seems pretty happy.

I got a health guarantee for his joints, which is usually the problem with large breed dogs, tbh..can't predict rare cancers, unfortunately..

How did you decide who gets to stay inside and who has to stay outside?

My pit wants to be outside. He was in and out for a while(he still comes in when it's cold) but one day when I left him in his room during the day he ripped the carpet off the steps. I figured it was just cabin fever so I just left him outside permanently and he seems to be just fine with it. My Boston likes the idea of going outside but he's literally afraid of everything, so he never lasts more than 10 minutes or so out there before he's ready to come back in.

I agree that keeping a dog outside isn't unconditionally bad, and it's only actual "abuse" or "cruelty" under super ty cir stances.

I don't know about that dog's cir stances and I don't care, we've been going in circles for a while now. What was I supposed to say by now? During the 12 hours in between posts were you thinking about me that much?
