Before the NCAA
had a scholarship
limit of 85,
the SWC had
a scholarship
limit of 115.
That's not a
"massive difference" in
scholarship numbers.
Now go

6 or 7 extra kids a year = massive numbers of scholarships to keep players off other teams?
Yeah, you're ing re ed. As if your posting style didn't make it obvious enough.
25 full rides v. 85 you mindless twit?
Keep embarrassing yourself
The scholarship rules completely changed
since Royal. Royal is the symbol of Texas football.
We were dominant taking advantage of the rules
at THAT time.
Royal had an advantage over Brown in this
respect. What do you not get about this?
Oh my posting style...
Have you flushed your vagina or something.
Posting STYLE...
got.

Isn't that part of recruiting though?
thanks for speaking the SWT obvious
Yeah, I just saw this over on the Rivals MB.
smh
Don't know all the facts yet but if it's anything relating to talking about football it's downright absurd. Not an indictment of the fanbase, but yeah. Hope they catch the attacker.
Yeah, some of those people over at rant blaming it on all UT fans are re ed. Could have been anyone
We have one of the most laid back fan bases in college football. DKR Stadium is not known for intimidating the opposition in any way. That being said I have seen nothing about this on a news outlet? Would the victim not be taken to a hospital in Austin? Austin police report? Anybody got anything else?
It does seem weird but their AD seemed to have a statement. Who knows. Hopefully it's not real.
Dude got assaulted downtown. Doubt it was a UT student what done it.
Reports point to t-shirt fan at worst.
Getting off track around 6th street is not good. Staying in the more populated areas around 6th street is safer, but I have seen fights.
That part is often crawling with cops as that's where they have night parking set aside for them.
But nothing good happens after 2 on a weekend.
Just sayin...
I doubt it was a UT student; but to ChumpDumpster's point, staying on 6th street with your crew is probably a wise idea if you're out late.
Seems like it's pretty rare though. I've been down there several times and I can't say I've ever been around that many drunk people and have everyone just walk around and be cool with each other.
Austin on the whole is very laid back imo.
Drunk kids on 6th street who are clearly not students are troublesome on occasions.
There are a lot of drugs on the east side of I-35
The way that ole miss post read is some upset Texas fans killed a visitor. You just don't see packs of people looking for fights around the stadium. I have been to a number of places away from Austin where that is a concern, but definitely not around DKR.
You can easily get stabbed/jumped/robbed in a lot of areas off east 6th
