Resogun is a lot of fun. Really enjoying that game. BF4 taking forever to finish dowloading on my ty New Mexico internet. BUT it is cool that I can already play the campaign at least.
Have used the party chat function and it seems good. Have streamed and it seems great as well. So far pretty impressed with the system.
Visual quality is on par with the jump seen when 2k6 first launched for 360 compared to the regular Xbox.
Holy that looks amazing.
Can't wait to try fifa and BF3 on next gen consoles
Debating ps4 or Xbox tho...I have a ton of friends that play 360 and will get the xb1 so I'm leaning that way but ps4 looks impressive
BF4 you mean, and your friends, you selling yourself short (for 499.00) with the Xbox One.
I totally dig that the PS4 controller has a headphone jack... that might be a system seller for me as simple as that sounds.I know I would use it all the time.
no big drama about downloading the update... I guess the gun was jumped on det one...
I'd need a long cord. I've never outgrown the habit of leaning or violently jerking my controller in the direction my video game character is moving during tense or difficult moments.
The control feels ing awesome tbh.
I have sunday off so i'll be able to finally sit down and really play the damn thing.
Is the reason why the Xbox One is 500 dollars because it comes with the Kinect?
Lol, are you one of the people who thinks leaning or moving your head will allow you to see better in game?
I think that's a big part of it.
Pains me to admit.
I really want one of these systems to be like the Wii U so they will be readily available and cheaper within a year. I wonder how much credit toward an Xbox One or a PS4 ty Gamestop would give me if I turned in my XBOX 360.
Best Buy is giving $100 giftcards for trading in your old 360 or ps3:

Yeah and with a good pair of buds the in actually sounds pretty good.
I've never wanted to be the first to own new technology. I've always wanted to wait for the bugs to be ironed out, to get reviews from those who had to be the 1st.

Short of the horrific Xbox 360 launch, most consoles have been solid out of the gate.
True, but they aren't the only new technology. There's no penalty for waiting to see which product has the least issues and the best performance. There's no reward for being 1st to own a product, unless you're selling on Ebay. I feel a high percentage of these people who line up for these releases are resellers, much like scalpers imo, and that's too bad.
There's something to be said for the rush of having something new, something that's completely novel to the world. There are thousands of sites that are talking about it, writing reviews and recommendations and "tricks" you can do. This be it a console or the launch of a major phone. It's a pretty cool feeling to be in the middle of all that experiencing it with so many other people who are super enthusiastic about the tech. And the reward is you get to own the tech earlier. If the time you buy doesn't matter, why don't you wait until the end of the life of a product when they are dirt cheap and buy it then? Because on some level, it of course *does* matter to you, you just don't want to pay that price out of the gate.
The price of the consoles don't drop much if any at all over their useful life. Most of my gaming is done on a PC though. I like playing new releases, and you don't see the new releases for old systems. I doubt games will continue to be released for PS3 after the PS4 takes hold. My PS3 is nearing the end of it's life as is, I've replaced the laser and HDD a couple of times, and done work on the main board. I just like to know I'm buying a solid platform. I don't really get a thrill from being being one of the first to write a complaint about a new product. I expect to have some issues given that I have so many different devices. I don't buy every console that comes out. I do plan on buying a PS4 however, to replace the tired ass PS3 I have now that I really only use for movies and such, rarely games.

The Xbox 1 is actually doing well in sales.
But one thing the article forgets to mention is that the Xbox 1 needed 11 more countries to match the PS4 on the 1 million mark.
PS4 did it only needing 2 countries. (US and Canada)
It will be a while before a clear cut winner in sales at least is to be declared.
LOL Microsoft playing big brother.
Well, the GTX 970 beat the an for $330 at GTA V's release, so I guess your ass was kind of right.
