ive deff gotten better at the 2k series, playing a association on 2k13 PS3. You've got to move sliders a bit to really get a game play experience that you prefer, and you've got to take your time, eventually you figure out the swings on the R3 joysticks, and the open lane with parker where you hit turbo and X or whatever and he just takes off and makes a trade craft move on his own that almost always goes in.
you figure those out over time and it feels less bulky. but yes, for those that are used to 2k series, there are some of us who remember triangle was jump and O was shoot and there wasnt all these post moves where you're holding R2 + square and swing the R3 joystick counter clockwise at just the right time to get duncan to do an up and under. it gets a bit much at first till you figure it out. nba livers just had to get duncan near the rim and mash square really hard lol.
I am a nba live kid and think the best basketball games ever made are still nba live 07-09ish on PS2. simple game play, decent graphics for the era, the franchise mode was so sick, with emails from the trainer who was constantly developing players and upgrading their overalls by working with the players on drills. you'd get the email, roger mason jr has improved his stamina +2 and his 3pt shooting +2, i think there is still room to improve! and then you'd sign him up for another drill and keep developing him. made it so fun to find diamonds in the rough in draft classes, and develop them into starters.
2k series, i had to turn off player chemistry, because almost every single player was ing about playing time and demanding a trade, and this actually affects their overalls, they were all like -7, -4, -5 etc from their overalls. it's too much. everyone's "fed up" and "irritated". i try to give ample mins to everyone and run a deep bench. wtf?
