What I am asking for, without qualification, is for you, Clandestino, Duff, Kourtnie and everybody else in this thread that there are not people who will benefit from this weekend.

Have I said this is the perfect weekend to buy? No, I haven't.

Does the state need to get off their ass and tailor this weekend to benefit the Texans most at-need for relief? Damn straight.

I agree JB. I was WRONG in saying that people did not save any money at all.
I'm sure there will be people who benefit and I know alot of people are not fortunate enough to shop early.....maybe they are waiting on child support(my sister) or a paycheck.

I just don't buy all the hype from the RETAILERS who are in it to make a profit.

Well yeah, don't buy the hype from them. Dillards certainly isn't going to get the warm fuzzies over this weekend by helping out some family buy clothes cheap, but that can be said for any weekend of the year.

It depends. My daughter has to wear them for middle school and she attends Northeast ISD.

My daughter also attends a middle school in NEISD but they don't wear uniforms. Each individual school decides on their own in NEISD. I wish they would go to uniforms. It would make it a whole lot easier.
