Yes, D-Whistle has ref and beta rangs, but so does your Kirby
Fun Fact: D-Whistle has a losing record without Shaq or LBJ to carry him.....
I never said he was some badass, I said "halfway decent." So almost a decent starter. You can't say he's any worse than players like Elson/Blair/Bonner/Rose and he's not that much worse than a player like Mohammed or Nesterovic imo

So you're telling me the Kwame for MVPau trade wasn't as bad as most Spur Fans says it was?
Let's not go crazy now.... Kwame was a nice role player, definitely not an alpha superstar like prime MVPau....
for what?
Just speaks volume of how great Kareem was, even on his dead legs, he was still giving Olajuwon who was about a decade plus younger all kinds of fits![]()
What you busy trying to ignore my points? Oh noes some dip calls me a woman because he cannot argue on merit. You look like a dumb with this routine.
Kareem big timed guards and the like with hard fouls. He was like a Bill Laimbeer that ran away when a big came after him. It is what it is.
1973-78 were his prime years and he missed the playoffs when healthy. Magic carried Vlade Divac to the finals. Wilt carried scrubs to 7 games against the best team ever until they got him some help in Greer. MJ took Collins to the ECF multiple times. James carried Boobie Gibson and Mike Brown to the finals.
No Jabbar would pull coward like
I don't live in SA. I didn't grow up in SA. I never went to school in SA. Stupid government muse.
By giving fits I guess you mean provided no defensive resistance and was dominated on the boards.
You do realize how old was Kareem at that point right? I mean, that's one thing you take into consideration right?
People here are talking about Olajuwon "showing" Kareem in his late 30's as if it's a huge accomplishment![]()
No question, but he certainly wasn't schooling Hakeem at 40 though.
So you recognize the role age plays. Now lets look at the 1972 NBA finals where 23 year old Jabbar lost to 35 year old Chamberlain. In this particular case Chamberlain dominated the boards and held Jabbar under all of his season averages. Cannot say Jabbar did that to Olajuwon when the worm was turned.
Most overrated player of all time.
You took it literally though, my fault for not making it specific but the gist was "Old man Hakeem was still putting the moves on young Olajuwon" etc
I appreciate you for bringing the goods though. It's refreshing when you don't talk about Kobe tbh.
Lets also not lose site in the relative strength of rosters between the Rockets and Lakers in 1986. Olajuwon had Ralph Sampson and a bunch of nobodies whereas Jabbar had Magic, Worthy, Scott and Cooper and he still lost in 5.
IOW Olajuwon carried that Rockets team over Jabbar and his multiple HoF cast.
Eh, I don't know. I don't think Jabbar's accomplishments is celebrated enough, probably because of the fact he's always sour and bitter, so the media doesn't see his angle. But Jabbar IMO deserved as much recongition as Magic, Bird, MJ and even Russell who IMO is the ONE who is overrated so much, simply because he was one of the few players who broke barriers in his era.
They're displaying their LDS again. Showtime featured a post-prime KAJ. Had he been in his prime playing with Magic, Worthy, Coop, B Scott, McAdoo, etc., no one else would have won in the '80s.at these farmers bragging that 7'4" Sampson and 7' Dream got the best of a probably over 35 year old KAJ (I'm too lazy to luck up his exact age) on a lucky as shot by Sampson's punkass. What happened when they made it to the Finals? '86 Celtics pushed their in with the quickness. It wouldn't have been the same had the Lakers made it there. As evidenced by their b2b the following years, and Magic/B Scott blowing hammies preventing a 3peat in '89.

LF all over the facts. The mother ers laid down before it even got started.
Just like anyone from the East will lay down before it gets started with the Spurs,,,and that includes partials on last June and the lion's share this June. It'll be a coronation for Pop, a hand down for being a swell sport last June. Instead of Pop humping their leg, they'll hump Pop's leg. Makes me want to vomit. I have half a mind to take to the Lazy Boy again as a form of civil protest.
Boiled down:::
TOSB Kobe: 0
Shaq: 3
Pau: 2
Funny thig is, people were saying I hated shaq back in the early 00's when he was massively overrated. Now we see that reversed where shaq is getting underrated.
Kobe will be rated correctly by the time the next laker superstar comes along, which may be why he is trying to undermine the lakers into getting one. Hey, guess what? Kobe's a genius, he really thought 2 steps ahead of everyone when it comes to the subject that is most dear to him- his own legacy.
Russell played mostly in an 8 team NBA where the compe ion was chock full of HoF big men like Chamberlain, Lucas, Thurmond, Bellamy and Reed
That he is an asshole misanthrope as well as a buffoon for buying that NoI bull is besides the point. His prime years were still a failure and he played with the two best PG in history at the bookends. He still was a cheapshotting coward that needed an enforcer when someone substantial stepped to him.
Overrated. Chamberlain is easily the most underrated of all time.
Lkrfan dodging my points like Jabbar ducking Chamberlain coming at him with a righteous anger. Run to the stands lkrfan! RUN!
-50 son, your lakers played in the same era. Russel whipped your ass that's it that's all
Yes, yes this much is true. s like Blake Griffin and JaVale McGee should owe their existence in the NBA to Red Auerbach. We also realized how unstoppable we'd be in international compe ion because of the superior athletic ability of our black brothers and sisters.
