    For the third time in as many years, the Spurs find themselves back in the Western Conference Finals...a feat none of us would have realistically predicted following the upset of 8. This is something that we should all take a moment to consider.

    Led by three Hall of Fame players, one Hall of Fame coach, and a budding young superstar, this team has quieted critics, defied time, and kept pounding the rock. One day soon, this will all be different. #21 will be hanging in the rafters instead of hugging the ball before tip-off, and some upstart coach will be stomping the sidelines with the biggest shoes to fill professional sports has seen in quite some time. This is something else we should all take the time to appreciate while we still can.

    This year, though, something is different. This isn't just about a le. This is about a legacy. Two monumental near-misses, including one of the biggest Finals heartbreaks of all time, fuels a fire that makes this squad hungrier than any other team in the NBA.

    Tonight, the Spurs walk the first step towards facing down the nightmares of 2012 and 2013, and taking back what is rightfully theirs.
