The finances of this for Green are substantial, even if he doesn't stick. The top DLeague salary slots are 35K, IIRC. Two 10-day contracts will net him around 100K, plus one year of tenure towards NBA retirement benefits.

The Spurs may try to make him a small forward. He hasn't been shooting many threes but made a few from the corners.
I know it's not a lot compared to nba money, but that's a of a pay raise for the average guy. Must be nice to have all the hard work pay off. Is it 100k/per contract?
About 50K for each 10-day deal.
Would make sense. They need a 3-4 hybrid.
I hope this allows Boris to get rested for a couple more games. So far he only missed that one game with food poisoning.
what a warrior
5-page thread will reach 30 pages in over/under 2 weeks, tbh?
Church is back in session.
Spurs were just letting Daye stick around so he can meet the President IMO
Check this out, ridiculous dunk, two 3 pointers from the corner.... no wonder the Spurs had to sign him.
Where is the idea coming from that Baynes will be restricted again?
Clubs who first bring in a player to the league have a certain number of years of control. It's pretty standard across all major sports. I forget what the NBA's version is ie 3 or 4 years and I am unsure if his first year had him on the roster enough times to warrant a year of service.
yes.
The only thing I like about NBA near as much as seeing the Spurs win the 'ship is watching youth development.
It's a fact. Baynes will be restricted again if the Spurs tender the QO. Check Coon's salary cap FAQ for the rules on restricted free agency.
Yeah, Baynes has only three seasons in the league. Therefore, he's an RFA next summer. Doesn't matter that he was one last summer as well.
Called what?
Leonard -27
J Green +2
Looked good in a blowout against a mediocre defensive team..his energy and athleticism looks nice, as expected, but his jump shot is what matters..hopefully he can make them at the pro-level, would be nice to have a backup 3/4 option..
Another 10 day contract is def not out of the question...
8pts 3rebs 2blks 4fls
in 15mins
I'll take his energy and hustle over some of the other guys on this team.
