Unfortunately Kobe now has a lifetime pass from the media to do anything stupid and not get called out on it. This guy could have video of him literally eating and the media would spin it by saying "He hates losing so much that he rather eat than lose. Just shows he's a great compe or and has a strong undeniable love for the game." Its pretty annoying but this guy has a God like status among the media,fans that enables him to pull this crap off.
Laker fans hang all over ST, not the other way around. You don't see Spur fans on LG trying to prop up and protect Duncan. Riot fans have to go all over the world trying to protect Kobe and make sure everyone believes what he has to say. That's an inferiorty complex.

Kobe was a great player. But it's always been taboo to be real about his many, many flaws. The lid is somewhat open now and now that the winning is gone, but the same a-hole remains, it leads to people being bothered about the same things he used to get away with.

I've always thought you have to be an idiot and/or a guy that never played sports to buy Kirby's BS. Because one it doesn't take a genius to see right through him, and two anybody that has played basketball even at a lower level would realize playing alongside him would be a terrible experience. Can you imagine being in a place where not only does this dude not share the ball, but then he gets worshipped by the masses for it, and to top it off gets all the credit for any glory all while you get the blame for any struggles?
