roy was the best fighter in the 90s. Dude fighting at 168 and 75 with welterweight speed and heavyweight type power. Sneaky power. His biggest problem was his resume of fighters were kinda shaky.

That at would be a great fight. Kovalev really brought some juice to a dead division. He's one of my favorite fighters but seeing how many times he got hit by Pascal kinda worries me. He can't get hit with those same shots with Stevenson. I'd still take Kovalev because of the pressure he puts on. Plus you gotta like both of them for doing it the hard way. Kovalev fought for free for years. Now living out here loving life with a new kid right by the beach
Agree, i use to hate roy back then, but he was a phenom, he had the speed, POWER, and killer instinct. Ever since Roy put on the weight to fight Ruiz and got back down, his skills went downhill.

As for Kovalev, he was careless in the pascal fight. He could have taken his time, but he went for the jugular vein hence it made him careless. I believe he could have fought a disciplined fight like he did against BHop if he wanted to. I too would cheer for Kovalev if he fights Superman, however you are correct if Stevenson connects like Pascal did, it would be dangerous for Kovalev.
