It's quite possible that neither one of them will play. Kobe will be 37 and has expressed disinterest, and 2016 would be LeBron's 4th straight Olympics.

I never said or even insinuated that the players "belong" to me. , I don't ever watch any of the interviews. I just don't like the at ude of "I shouldn't have to do interviews because I don't want to." It's part of the process. If someone wants to "just play basketball," they can play pickup games.

I find much of what the media does irritating as well. Sam Smith has been a real prick through all this. But the media pays the bills.

Kawhi is just using this opportunity to scout his opposition and plus work with LMA. Getting a chance to go head to head with the games best player for two-three weeks is a DPOY dream come true.

IMO, Kawhi doesn't really care about making the team this time around. He knows the window to win a championship in the near future is as big as it's going to get the next two years and he is focus on winning les. Olympic gold can come later.

Kawhi has done all the media interviews during the Spurs season, and never once did he exhibit a bad at ude. Like I said, I don't think he wants to make the team, and doing this is ensuring just that. I don't think Kawhi has a bad at ude towards the media (maybe some media members). I think he is just playing this card so he doesn't get selected for the team. He accomplished what he wanted to at this point -- studying and learning how to defend the players he will be facing this season and in the playoffs.

Kawhi has been coached and mentored by two of most psychological coaches and players ever in the NBA. You would think that art would have rubbed off on him by now.
