It's a bit hard to categorize the Spurs players, since they've doing stuff as a team and there is never an undisputed best player on the team.
With that said, Kawhi has had his moments, but for several reasons he hasn't been seen as the star of the team, and hasn't been selected for an all star game.
So it's not that hard to see the discrepancies between fans, analysts and whatever.
His leadership and ability to control games as a star is still questionable.
This year he can just jump into s om consensus if he's healthy and can keep the pace of last season.
With that said, I kind of like the team approach that makes it hard to name a clear MVP, and that they keep winning with this formula.
Which is one of the reasons I have enjoyed the Spurs since they became an elite team again.
