I'm one of Bonner's biggest fans here, too, I always defend him, but he has looked beyond finished the past 2 seasons..
Yeah, true. I try not to think about 2013 too much. Just makes me too angry. I would say they are the only two years where Bonner was in the correct role. I had a massive problem with him when he was the 2nd (2009) and 3rd big, but not so much as a 4th or 5th big (5th big preferably, 4th depending on match ups).
That's a know quan y but he won't be playing major minutes like Finley & will most likely be benched like Marco if he's in' up in the playoffs.
Sucks that we have to cheer for Kevin Martin, tbh..he's the original Harden(along with Corey Maggette) of the previous era..players that play to draw cheap, soft fouls, rather than trying to score..I can't remember the last time the Spurs signed a player that I strongly disliked..

It seems like Butler might get cut, but that would be such an un-Spursian move, tbh..he's been mentoring Simmons and Anderson and has played very well since Pop inserted him into the rotation..
It would be a little strange to cut him and not allow him to play in the playoffs at this point of his career..

Bruce and Horry were 2 of my favorites Spurs of all-time, but I would have detested them if they had played for the Mavs or Suns, at the time..
Martin seems like a good dude, I have never heard anything bad about him, I just hate the way he plays basketball
Simmons has way too much potential to get cut. Bonner, on the other hand, strained a calf muscle shooting a 3 pointer. My guess is Bonner. The only other choice would be Butler and cutting him would send a terrible message to other vets out there. He's earned a spot on this team and contributed when called upon. He has more versatility on defense and offense.
