Why not bring back? Lee he played well for his contract, smart and with heart. He was more than adequate for a fourth big. Seems like with a year in system under his belt next year looks even better especially since he isn't overly reliant of pure athletic ability.

Agree he doesn't move a championship needle but what 4th big ever did?
I loved David Lee... I pray he comes back. Since ain't to many teams playing big anymore.... If we could land V. Cater or Gay, a 2nd unit with Mills, Ginobili/ Simmons, Carter/Gay, Bertans an Lee at the 5.. dont seems to bad to me. IJS

Might be interested in Casspi, Evans, Patterson or Jones, depending on $.
I like Patterson. 6'9" and a decent 3 point shot.

Not a fan of Jones, can't shoot.

I guess there still are a lot of players that Spurs can get at the bottom of the barrel. I think they are going to wait and see until the market dries up and will strike.

Yes. And I still don't rule out a trade.

It is interesting that there is real silence regarding him and Deadman.

Did Grizz give JaMychal Green a QO? Wot they doing with Zbo and Allen?
    Yes on the QO: http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap...JaMychal-Green

I wonder how much it would take for a team to get him. Not sure if Memphis can match a decent sized offer and still bring back those other two guys while staying under the luxury tax line. They have just under $20 million in luxury tax space.

Unrestricted free agents that are 30 and under that I prefer to gamble with are:
    Rudy Gay (30)
    Michael Beasley (28)
    Omri Casspi (29)
    Tyreke Evans (27)
    Jeff Green (30)
    Patrick Patterson (28)
    Derick Rose (28)
    Thomas Robinson (26)
    Terrence Jones (25)
Of that list i like Evans and Beasley. Rudy gay is also interesting but other team will probably out bid the Spurs for him.
Beasley has the tools to be an interesting player in today's nba.

Don't really care, just want to see Murray/Green/Kawhi/Bertans/Aldridge as the starting unit, and if Simmons re-signs, transition him into Manu's bench anchor role(if not, Tyreke Evans on a reasonable deal would be fine)..I'd love to see a Spurs team without Pau, but that's not happening, unfortunately

Just going to enjoy not having to watch Parker until January, hopefully..

When? I don't remember our ever pursuing Korver - much less his wife's turning thumbs down on us.
About 5 years ago (whenever Korver signed his last contract with Atlanta) Korver signed with SA. Korver's wife didn't want to move to SA and wanted to stay in Atlanta. SA, even though they had a binding contract, let him out of the deal. You didn't hear about it because that's not the way the Spurs work.

Beasley has always had the tools. He could never play for Pop.

In that group, with a ring almost assured, Beasley will be a beast.

The Spurs had an agreement with Gasol in anticipation of signing a big FA. Since that didn't materialize, could they essentially offer him the same contract (1 yr ~$16m) and throw in a partially guaranteed 2nd year as a "sorry for the inconvenience?" So Gasol still makes out better than he would have had he opted in?

The answer is yes, but I'd hate that solution. Just give Pau more money this year if you want to "apologize". Honestly, if Gasol wanted to walk, it'd be an interesting prospect. The team would actually have a workable cap slot if he left.

Is Baynes still available? He's not a particularly good defender, but he can screen and roll. Seemed to not be on great terms with the org when peaced, though.

I would take him back, but only if he got a legit hairstyle.

I don't care if they give fathead a crack in that starting lineup instead of Bertans because it's his last chance, but not ing Pau. I love Bertans offense, he's like a giant version of Korver in his prime the way he moves without the ball & quick catch & release.

I don't see a reason why Terrence Jones isn't on the roster and starting over Dante freaking Cunningham. He's better at every facet of the game and younger. He's averaging 27/9/5 this season in the G League on 58/35/72 shooting splits. He was a positive defensively during his time in the NBA.
