    I don't understand why the Spurs don't just play out the season and try to keep him. If the Spurs win 60 games and make the WCF, then offer the supermax next summer, why would Kawhi want to walk away from that? It's a win-win.

    Reports say he wanted out due to how the Spurs mismanaged his injury. If those reports are true, he didn't want out last summer. Besides, we couldn't offer him the supermax back then. Now we can.

    I continue to believe this whole situation is a product of the Spurs not wanting to offer Kawhi the supermax. Uncle Dennis threatened to have him walk after reports surfaced the Spurs wouldn't give it to him just like that, and the whole thing spiraled out of control from there.
