No it doesn't. The NBA would want them to move to Seattle instead of staying in New Orleans based size of the market. I can't believe people are saying it is rigged because he wen't to non existent market.
Makes more sense businesswise to gift the dying franchise with a barely existent fanbase that’s about to lose the one asset keeping them from moving to Seattle.

The NBA doesn’t want a team in Seattle. Seattle is more valuable as leverage, the way the NFL used Los Angeles for all those years. They also invested too much into keeping this team in New Orleans to let them fail now.
better roster than the Spurs tbh
Then it would have made sense for Memphis to have gotten Zion, they are in a lot worse shape than New Orleans. Smaller market and they have no one they can trade. If the Pelicans didn't get Zion, they still have Davis and can get a lot back from him. Memphis is an absolute joke and makes the Pelicans look good, with contracts to Conley and Parsons.
yup.
and im not in the trade everything for Ad camp.
Let someone else do it
if i could get him for Kawhi, Kyrie or porzingis type deal ... sure.
Otherwise let Boston dismantle to get him ...
Pelicans have 2/10 best players in the NBA?
Would love to see the mock drafts now that the order is finalized
The dude hasn't even played 1 NBA minute and you've got him top 10...![]()
Better than anyone on the court in tonights game
And probably the most underrated player in the NBA. Jrue’s shutdown D on Lillard was the main reason that the Pels swept WCF participant Blazers last season.
He's lebron coming out of college basically.
Thanks,
Nice cap.
Does Rondo go back to NO? He'd be a great fit again
Congrats to NO fans, very well deserved. Hopefully now they trade Davis’s y ass to Siberia or Canada or something.
its not like they were the odds-on favorite... there were 3 different teams each with a 14% chance
The league needs the wheel.
Dell Demps got fired for not getting the AD trade done, but if landing Zion makes Davis stay, New Orleans will be indebted to him forever. Down the road, if the Pelicans win a championship with Zion, AD, & Jrue, it will be because Demps wouldn't take a bad deal.
I actually like all 3 players but i dont think Ad and zion are a great fit
Zion should be paired with KD or Kawhi if he is gonna ring.
I dont think either guy is leading a le team tbh
As a basketball Fan I would love AD in NY. Their fans are lame but just for entertainment it would be dope. My top FA is kawahi idc bout the rest lol
Well good news for Laker fans is people like Zach Lowe think the Lakers youth, value of picks aside, is viewed as better than NY youth.
I don’t agree, but if that is really a consensus, then LA getting #4 should put them in the lead for AD.
But I don’t see how Ingram/Kuz/Zo, especially with 2 years of playing less than 60 games each for Zo/Ingram (along with impact metrics and years in the league) are valued more than Knox/Mitc .
Beyond that, I think there is a difference in 3rd pick and 4th, and while LA could include future firsts as well, NY has 2 first from Dallas too to add into the mix.
