Man, the Spurs are going nowhere as long as Pop is managing the team. What a show of a coaching job, that SL in 2020 is a god damned joke. Talking all off-season about how the youngings will play more, have more opportunities, only to still bury them behind the vets once (pre)season starts. Patty Mills running the point is a disgrace, and him taking up all the goddamned shots is another disgrace. No sense of distribution or getting teammates involved.
Vassell looks great, love the hustle. Lonnie sadly does not... I can definitely see this season being a "break" one if he doesn't assert himself and earns a spot in the rotation. We have way too many guards for him to look this passive and lost still. Only the 1st quarter of the 1st preseason game, but being toe-to-toe with the G-League Thunderites doesn't look too promising...
