Got shot #2 of Pfizer about 6 hours ago, only side effect so far is some dull pain at the injection site.

(My beloved SO) just now got my appt for the first shot tomorrow here in Austin.
Appointments were available through HEB, but most of them too far away to be convenient.
How are you people getting appointments in this phase? You must have some underlying health issue.
Still haven't got an appointment for my mom. Thought we had one, then the winter storm screwed that up.

I just filled out the questionnaire, I didn't know anything about my eligibility then but I guess do now.

they're not rescheduling? When I got shot #2 the other day and asked about a friend in 1B who needed to sign up University Health told me to tell him to get on their mailing list or to get their app so he'd know when the signups for new appointments would open.

I'd pay close attention to University Health and to the Alamodome since those are the two big mass vaccination sites, probably the two places you'd have the most success.

Another one you might check is Schertz. I got my mom her vaccines there back when they were doing online signup. Now they have a waitlist, so maybe try signing up there are a backup in case you can't find an opening elsewhere in the next few weeks.

That's really ty. I got my shot #2 bumped by the weather but they rescheduled everyone for a few days later.

saw HEB appointments open in Temple and Falfurrias. fortunately, I didn't have to decide.
I told her about HEB. She'll keep trying. I'm more worried than she is, tbh.
