D takes a while to develop. I'll say this: it's probably true that it has improved, but honestly (and this is not said sarcastically) you have to admit that it was very bad prior to AJ (so it kind of had to improve, nowhere else to go). However, imo, Dallas' d is still not up there with the best defensive teams (Detroit and SA- no arguments based upon anomalies or the first few months of November for reasons given above). Perhaps, some time in the future, Daniels and Howard will become good post up players and they have probably to some extent (as I have watched them this year and last year) improved. However, neither of them is really a post player who regularly posts up. Neither of them, in other words, is a power forward. You can't take a big guard (which Howard is) and call him a post player as Duncan is or Shaq or as Rasheed can be. If Howard stayed there (on the block), he would be killed due to his height and weight and he would be a hindrance to the offense.

I'm not saying anything you probably don't already know as do most fans, but you all need to get a prime time, post player who can score consistently with his back to the basket. Trade for somebody good.

This is good mind numbing exercise as I have a presentation in one of my graduate classes in math that I am giving tomorrow.

At least, you can read unlike that clown, pistonsfan1 or whatever he calls himself.

Now, if you would just make it clear that when your buddy mouse (or is he a SA fan like Kori says as shown by the video tape of him celebrating in 99 on the river parade) says stupid things like the Spurs aren't going to make the playoffs or may not make the playoffs or like the Mavs are mighty and are definitely going to kill us in the playoffs that you realize that these positions are rationally and logically indefensible, then we could have civil discourse.

Dirk can't guard Duncan. Dirk can't guard anyone in the NBA.

There is a reason why Dallas doesn't get anywhere, year after year.

Dallas is a tough team to play, because of Dirk's outside shooting. When Dirk is off or pressured, Dallas will lose against anyone, spurs or no spurs.

When the time counts, the Spurs will destroy the Mavericks.

Parker, Ginobili and Duncan can score at will on the Mavs.

And yet none of that takes place when the Spurs lose by 30 + points to the Mavs?

Do the Mavs hang banners in the AAC for those wins?

I think that they are drinking too much of your product. It's a weekday so they better hope that their boss does not find out.

    Quit trolling here.

Let's ignore 8 years of history for both the Spurs and the Mavs and construct an entire argument that Mavs>Spurs and Spurs won't make the beliefs on 2 games from a part of the season where less than 10 % of the games have been played. We can prove lots of interesting stuff this way (ie it proves too much).

School begins now: define anomaly. define normative. This is your homework and its due next time for class!

BTW, I find it very unusual that they would engage in special pleading so consistently.

Example: They claim that Mavs>Spurs and Spurs won't make the playoffs based upon 2 previous games. However, when we point out that we have won 3 championships and that the key element of those championships, Tim Duncan is still here, all but one is here from last year, they make an argument that those championships don't count because they were in the past. Indeed, it is based upon the past. So, were the games that they (the Mavs fans) used for their argument. They (the games the Mavs used to support their argument) are also part of the past. Neither is in the present. Textbook definition of special pleading, requiring them to modify their argument, admitting that the first way that they stated their argument is fatally flawed.

Of course, there is a major difference: we have a much larger and therefore more representative sample. Unfortunately, we appear to be dealing with math challenged bloggers. Too bad.

It's not hard to run rings around these clowns since almost all of the facts are all on one side of the argument and the best interpretation of the facts will basis its main premise on the majority of the facts.

Go back to school, Mavs trolls, Mavs homers and the hypocritical liar, the rat.

I doubt that they would talking about this if their win was against the Hornets. I think that we can take that as an obvious fact. You draw the conclusion, trolls. What follows from this beginning axiom. (P implies Q). What is Q?

Should we invite the little rat on our 2006 river parade celebrating our fourth championship in the last eight years?

Obtain a sworn affidavit from him that he will no longer troll here, admit what a sorry bunch of losers he and his team (prepositional phrase (of losers)- hence, we go back to bunch singular) is.

These special ed students here try my patience. Any subs utes as I will be gone most of the day, as disappointing as it is to have to miss so much of their intellectually stimulating conversation. However, all good things must come to an end as the saying goes.

Is the rat from Dallas? Cuz if he's from S.A., he isn't worthy of being called a rat. He'd be lower than rat droppings. You can't be from S.A. or live here for more than a year and not love the Spurs.

Rat, you've been served. As have your buddies. At least you can remember the parade when you celebrated our win. Good times!!!

Ref better stop this before the rat gets run over and becomes roadkill or ratkill.

The rat, apparently has connections here. He is on a video celebrating the Spurs win in 99, yet uniformly slams our team on our site.

He is a liar, a hypocrite and a useless troll who does not add a thing to our forums.

On Chris and Charlie's show on am1200, they used to talk about how somehow it felt like there was more air to breath and maybe a little less gravitational pull after certain criminals were executed. I'm beginning to understand how they feel.

Perhaps the little rat advises Cuban. That would explain a lot of their failures.

mouse is from San Antonio. He's a chain puller and he won't ever live in Dallas because he has a large circle of friends here in San Antonio.

I know what you mean. They just show their bitterness toward the mavs rather than showing examples of them beating the mavs.
