    same in NC. Repugs realized their partisan gerrymander was so extreme, they backed off and gave the Dems (knitters) a seat or two.

    Gerrymandering in the dead of night without public comment or expert testimony isn't illegal, but it's very unusual.

    Texas GOP apparently has little confidence in its ability to attract new voters or win fair elections.
