I was at the game, here are some takeaways I have. Jakob played well against Adams but his presence doesn't scare deter any guards from driving on him. JJJ falls every other possession and subsequently complains to the refs the whole game. Murray looked tired for most the game until the 4th. Memphis played Doug McDermott very tough and there was one call he didn’t get that seemed to throw him off the whole game. Seemed like Pop was letting Becky draw up a lot of the offense at the very end of the game. Ja is ridiculously fast but the refs bailed him out.

JJ Jr was a tough cover as a mobile C for Jock. I thought Pop should’ve put Poeltl on him who is more agile than Jock, and Jock could’ve handled a slower Adams. KBD could’ve helped.

Morant calls at the end were bs. But that Jackson 3 was arse. We battled. Vessel played well. Walker went dumb to good from play to play

The issue is Murray can't get to the line... He can't penetrate and make the defense collapse, this opening up teammates more... Once he learns that, we will be harder to guard in moments like these

Unfortunately we have no player with advanced handling, hopefully this coming off season manu can teach them a thing or 2

Agreed, we don't have a go-to guy yet on this team.
The only players who seem able to create their own shots are Vassell and Primo, and neither is developed enough yet to be that guy.

This is why Primo in the G League makes sense for this year.
He could easily come be a solid 3 and D guy right now, but if we let him develop the shot creation skills he has shown he can be a difference maker.
I still want him to get some run with the main club of course.
Maybe after we are eliminated from playoff contention we will let Primo come work out the kinks on the main stage.

I also think shot creation is something we need to keep an eye on in the draft. If we can fit a need and also get that...

I always think Murray is too thin to absorb contacts. But looking at Ja Morant, that kid is peerless.
