I'd even take Paul at this point

Absurd low BBIQ and passing abilities in this roster

Btw, I love how 27/14 on 40% is an awful game for Wemby.
He's great at keeping it together after all those awful possessions from his teammate.
Should take all the shots, tbh.

Until Devin doesn't prove he can consistently collapse defenses and get to the rim, earn some FTs, he's not worth his contract.

That was an offensive foul on that dunk? Or am I misunderstanding the rules?

Wemby sucked. 40 % FG, guarded by midgets no inside game, 4-9 FTs, 3 AST, 3 TO

When the team is counting on you as its best player, not going to win many games that way.

I can assure you Wemby thought he sucked, too.

During that 3rd I lost count how many times zack collins was a factor on both ends.
Bummer because in the 1st half i thought he gave an excellent effort and had a lot of nice plays.

Was pleasantly STUNNED when WarriorRef gave Donkey the deserved offensive foul for elbowing Zollins face.

nobody’s saying he had a good game. It was clearly a rusty/bad shooting game % wise.

it’s not the point. He needs to be the center of the game a la Jokic and had to work with terrible passing all night. Stop acting like he wasted great assists lol

the % doesn’t matter, it’s the intentions, he most of his misses were close and shots he is usually makes.

Tell me which shots he shouldn’t have taken?

    Are u serious?!?

Let him shoot and miss as much as he wants. He’s THE project. Nobody else

Hes shown he’s wise enough to deal with responsibilities

HIGHER % shots. letting him just chuck each shot down the stretch in the 4th is not winning basketball especially not against a quality opponent like GS.

It was a fine game tonight. Basically, the Warriors turned up the D in the 3rd and our guys couldn’t buy a bucket to save their lives at the same time. That was the difference as it became too hard to chase down that lead in the 4th. I thought the team generally played well, but clearly the Warriors were playing with desperation given their place in the standings.

Victor isn't going to be Jokic. He's not that kind of player. Jokic is an anomaly too though, like Victor, only one most never saw coming.

btw, Pop gave the game up by putting Barlow and that other scub on the floor at the same time. They gave up a 10pt lead just like that. Pop called a timeout when the entire 10pt lead was gone, then removed Victor. Solid choice.

Just for the record, Podzwiemski posted great college stats in his sop re year but was thought to be too unathletic for the NBA. Also, a two year project. His freshman stats are awful. Something to take in mind for this upcoming draft:

    1) Don't dismiss production because of perceived physical limitations.

    2) Don't necessarily need to take a one and done player just because they are thought to have more upside.

Wemby also needs to cut out that shuffle pass in the paint to Sochan, or at least reduce it significantly. Many times he gets it to him and Sochan (or whoever) doesn’t have much room to operate down there. Zach overdoes does that too. I’d rather see Wemby just shoot over people if he’s that low.

Teams need to stop overvaluing athletic players. There's enough examples of incredible players who aren't athletic in the league right now to make that aspect more like a plus than a requirement.

Yeah he’s 3-5 feet from the rim and he tries some cute little dump off pass when he could easily just rise up and get any shot he wanted. Then it’s like fool me once but he keeps trying the same BS.

Yes he was rusty and missed a lot of shots he usually makes. Not a good game. We all agree

but those aren’t bad shots. Those are shots he needs to take. All those 3s included that will force spread the floor.

I agree but imo it’s part of him the same way it was part of Manu’s game.

We’ll have to live with those bc he needs (and deserves) that freedom to use all his skillset.

+ ultimately the goal, I hope, is to use him the same type of way Denver uses Jokic. So it’s a part of his game he need to keep working and practicing on. Mistakes are necessary in that process. He’ll get better

Has vassell ever learned how to pass the ball over a defender and high enough to get it to a 7’5 guy with go go gadget arms?

Nah, man, that's just wrong. The Spurs are playing well, but they don't have the gear that guys like Paul and Draymond have, and GSW absolutely had to have this win. Coughing up two in a row to a non-playoff team would be devastating.

Just... calm the down. Jesus. The Spurs played alright and were still in it with multiple players struggling. If I want to say anyone showed low BBIQ it was Wembanyama jacking so many shots down the stretch, but he'll learn.

Zach Collins is still the worst defensive big man in the NBA

they were bad shots because he's not that great of a shooter yet and your shooting the team out of the game especially against playoff teams. your not spreading the floor when there's no other inside presence and your 7"4 center is desperately shooting 3's and down 10 or more late in the 4th.

Not sure how u interpret my posts my I couldn’t care less about the loss

The point is about the personnel surrounding Wemby, a good part of which is supposed to be the core of the team for the coming seasons. It’s just surreal to watch so little court vision and passing abilities.
