Anyhow, I'll just leave this peformance for what it is, a great performance. I'll be more curious to see how this team performs (and how Kobe performs), if and when we are more of a championship caliber team. THAT is the true lithmus test.
It's even more amazing that there was a 152-149 game tonight and the guy that scored 81 wasn't playing in that one.

Some people have the special ability make their teammates and their team better by how they lead those around them, regardless if they're scoring or not. . .

Any player, that has his team in playoff position, that starts Kwame Brown and Smush Parker, is legendary.
If im not mistaken the entire first half they played as a team, no one was hitting shots, lamar odom was as usual being very passive. The begining of the third the lakers were playing horrible. Kobe brought the team back into the game.
Let's also not discredit the appearance of a laker defense in the 2nd half. That allowed kobe to do what he did.
Well DUH'. The Lakers are an ugly and raw team right now. Of course the ideal situation is not to have Smush, Brown and Mihm as starters. That group should not win a playoff game. Kobe playing at his best, dropping 50+ on people may get you a first round win if you are lucky. But of course this is no "final product". Whoever thought it was? Jordan had a solid cast of players surrounding him in his day. Kobe does not. Lamar, as good as he can be, does not fit on this team, and will be traded at some point to bring better complimentary players.

Im a diehard Spurs fan, and hated the Lakers with a passion in the early 2000's as much as anyone.
But i have come to apreciate SUPERSTARS, like Lebron James. Shaquille O'Neal. Tracy Mcgrady. Kobe Bryant.

i cant seem to pull up the box score, but its difficult for kobe to get assists when his teammates cant even hit their shots. Give it up! How many steals and blocks did kobe have?

Kobe had a good night. Nothing impressive though taking all your teams shot. Much like DRob did. That didn't impress me either, maybe when somebody does it with a team effort all around I'll say otherwise.

the lakers other than kobe shot 14/42 in the game...come on now. The only one who had a decent shooting game was Chris Mihm!
