Rasho was awesome tonight against the Wolves- had five (a season high) ioffensive rebounds in addition to all the other helpful things he always does.

    Fear the Sho!

You rasho-haters sound so biased and prejudiced it's ridiculous and it's like you live in your own little bubble. He's a Spur for now, get over it and stop your lame-ass whining. Any person that REALLY knows the game can see that Rasho does lots of the so-called "dirty work"---i.e., he's constantly setting screens for teammates like Manu/Tony, alters shots. I like Nazr but he has so much to learn about the Spurs' defensive schemes. They both have their weaknesses. Can't you just deal with it?? And if Rasho sucks so bad, why the then does Pop even play him????
I think San Antonio can get away with him being a liability on offense but a liability in rebounding is what will kill them. Look how badly he got owned on the Boards by Ben Wallace. You want your center to be good in defense and rebounding. Rasho plays ok defense and is horrible on the boards for a center.

Rasho played the last 9 minutes of the game tonight. He defended KG the whole time. During that 9 minutes, KG scored on a 3 at the shot clock buzzer and he made 4 FTs. That's it.

Rasho could rebound better and he could score more, but he's doing alright. Nobody ever praises the setter in volleyball, only the er.

Why is Rasho still a Spur? Because he can come in and play tough D on KG in the closing minutes and get key offensive rebounds and set screens on consecutive plays for Manu, and what not.

What's that? You say you didn't see it because you were too busy watching the dribbler? Oh, I'm sorry. You missed a great game within the game.
Gee Solid, why were Manu and Bruce so open for those threes late? It was almost as if some other player was keeping the defender from getting to them.
Not fair! You two actually watched the game! That's confusing the trolls - stop it immediately. Posts in here should be based only on the much publicised Stephen A. Smith's opinions.

Seriously it was an interesting 4th quarter. Rasho got a tough assignment and delivered what Pop wanted.

I watched the game at the Venetian Sports Book and won a nice 200$ on the game (I bet 110$ on the Spurs -9 and on the over 174). I love this town

Horry came off the bench. Duncan can play backup center but I was saying that he can't play center full time. Dirk can also play backup center but you don't want either of them to play all their minutes there. Duncan is much better at power forward.
Duncan is the best low post player in the game ... period. No matter if you want to call him a PF or Center, he is the one who lives in the low blocks for the Spurs offense and he is the dominant interior force of the defense. On offense, Tim plays as the Spurs "Center" for 90%+ of the time, and on Defense about 50%+ of the time

You Nazr-holics need to get the over it. He is NOT the Center of the future. He is NOT the center of now. He has no idea how to play in Pop's defense, and in fact, can barely be counted on to get the out of the way on offense. Oberto can provide everything that Nazr does next year, and do it without causing disruptions on offense or defense. Nazr's history.

Maybe you should watch the game (esp. last 9 minutes) instead of box score?

The best way to tell an idiot from a true analyst is to put a stat sheet in one hand and list of Pop's post-game quotes in the other, and see which one he reads.

Stats don't tell the story. I thought, as a Spurs fan, you would have realized that by now.

Who finished the game? Ever think there may be a reason Rasho go those ten more minutes?

No need to duplicate this argument again.

yeah but none of them are available
Many of those guys have switched teams during the last 3 years so they were available. Spurs management needed to work something out in a trade to get someone better than over paying a stiff like Rasho. Its called settling and thats not what I want the Spurs ever to do.

There aint but 5 stiffs on taht list that are better than Rasho, and they are untradeable, so buy a clue Carter sucker

funny how Rasho fans say "IT'S JUST ONE GAME" with Nazr

    Because it usually is.

Last night he made a couple jumpers and some open rebounds.

    His defense was absolutely atrocious.

That freakin foul on Blount in the 4th quarter was mindboggelingly bad.

Rasho sucks. He is built for the regular season like Hedo. When there is pressure he fades but Nazr proved that he could perform. If anything Nazr got more motivated and played his best basketball in the playoffs.

Is this the same Rascal on the classic threads, that wanted the Spurs to sign Jarrett Jack over resigning Manu back in '04? Just asking.

Q: You probably get recognized everywhere.

Rasho: Yes that’s true. Sometime it can be a burden. Everybody thinks they know you, everybody has something smart to say, they comment your game and dispense with a lot of advises, you have to remain polite and keep a smile on your face the whole time. People do not understand that basketball is my job, and since I don’t meddle with their jobs, why should they meddle with mine. ( my underline)But in all fairness there are many more nice people among the fans, the kind that only want to congratulate you or exchange a few words with you.

Rasho is overpaid, but so is Nazr.

Rasho plays within the Spurs system, so he plays more than Nazr.

Horry is >>>> Rasho, Nazr, and Oberto. The other big guys are in the game to hold the line until it's Big Shot Bob's turn.
