My history with this site dates back to the old mysa.com message board days. I stumbled upon it quite my mistake one day at work when I was boredThe very first online meeting I ever attended was a mini lunch gtg with several people from that site (Mongo, munchkin, CosmicCowboy) and the rest, as they say, is history!
Was that the one I showed up late to?
No. The one you were late to was the one at Chacho's on Callaghan. The first one I went to was at a place near downtown....CC would remember the name.
Ah...
Was Mongo trying to take your picture at that one too?![]()
He had his camera, but I don't recall him trying snap pics at that meeting.
hey girl wheres your pic?
Ive been around a while, but I dont recall a MONGO?
wasnt he the guy from Blazing Saddles?
Mongo not know. Mongo only pawn in game of life.
Mongo like candygrams.
You aren't missing much ... unless you have a thing for wooden bumpers.![]()
Yes...but there was also a poster who went by the username Mongo.
And self-tooth extraction ...![]()
I don't remember that one...:vomit
man, I realize that I have been here for a while, but there are some OLD SCHOOLERS that make me look like a N00B!
.... and getting naked with your cousin ....![]()
Actually ... that last part is pure speculation on my part.![]()
Mongo: The only person every physically removed from a GTG in tears.

Original topic:
I've made good, very good friends online. Lifelong friends. I've stated it before, but from my other board, I had a woman fly in from Vancouver, BC, Canada to officiate my wedding, while another woman flew in (with her husband, who ran errands all day long) from Wisconsin to be my bridesmaid. We are all (about 20 of us) *really* tight on that board.
And after being here almost a year, I feel like I've made some good friends here too. I know I look forward to coming on here as much as I look forward to my other board. I know I've gotten lots of encouragement, and it's so great to be able to keep up so well with the team from a distance.
SFIE introduced me to this site, so we certainly didn't meet here, but loving the Spurs was a foundation of our relationship. It's actually less about the Spurs (but they are a big part of our lives) than just having something in common. We were both from the area, we both share similar values and common desires.
Two years before I met Jason, I wrote down all the things I was looking for in a partner, and promptly forgot about it. About a year after we got engaged, I stumbled across it when cleaning out my computer files. Jason was a perfect match, which I was amazed by, but I was utterly amused by the fact that prominently placed on the list were "Must be able to accept my never ending love for Tim Duncan and the Spurs and cheer along." as well as "Must be able to appreciate that I scream my head off during a game, but only because I care so much."
As for my office:
I got the short end of the stick - I'm the only full time staff member here who doesn't have an office. I don't even have a cubicle. I work in our main office with our student staff (to supervise them?). I have a desk and a credenza filing cabinet. Whoopee!
OMG....lmao
I had forgotten about that. Was that the same night we got puked on?:vomit
