were those in numbers mostly during garbage time? I'm thinking yes but nice stat line.
NO they were not. You obviously did not see the game.

Rasho was great tonight! And anyone who thinks he can not pass knows absolutely nothing about his game. He showed tonight that he is a true basketball player- who can shoot, rebound, pass, set screens, all while shutting down Okur. There is a reason Nazr only lasted 30 seconds into the second half before Pop sent Rasho back in.

Tonight: Rasho on court +39; Nazr on court -6.

Rasho is ready for the play-offs. Question is-- IS Nazr?

You know what else was fantastic about the win tonight?

We dominated resting our starters and it was the second night of a back to back!

I agree Rasho had a good game today. I still think Nazr should start in the playoffs though.

I love this time of year; you can just smell the postseason.

Who's going to be a goat? Who will make their name? What spectacular plays will I remember for the years to come? What analyst will look like an ass at the end of the season? This is just a great time of year. I can't wait to see what Elton Brand does in his first postseason action, what it will be like without Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, or Kevin Garnett? What big name coaching hire will serve as pregame fodder? Who will win the draft lottery?

The questions keep coming, and unlike so many things in life, we get an answer to them all. This is a great time of year.

Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, and Lindsey Hunter didn't dress. Mo Evans and Dale Davis started. Carlos Delfino and Jason Maxiell led the team in minutes. The Milwaukee Bucks don't want to play the Pistons in the first round.

congrats on clinching the west spurs fans, dallas doesn't need it anyway, we can play on the road no problem...nice win tonight but it would have been more interesting had kirilenko played...hope you guys get the kings, that would be a more enjoyable matchup to watch

I'm personally hoping for the Lakers. I want to see the scoring machine that is Kobe versus the Spurs killer defense. Not to mention, Spurs-Lakers is an event, even if Shaq is gone.

That explains it. Thanks. As I posted in another thread, I thought the final score had to be a joke when I saw it.

I think the Spurs would have a much easier time with the Lakers, especially now that they are down a big man with Mihm out. Kobe would be double-teamed the entire time, so there's no fun in that. I think the Kings are playing tough these days so it would be nice to see your series go to 6, haha and the Mavs finish off the Grizzlies in say 5.

Wouldn't you rather see the Kings-Spurs matchup in the Conference Finals?

uh, NO!!!! i would rather see the suns-mavs in the conference finals so we can get some pay back for last year....honestly though, i would rather see the spurs/mavs in the conference finals, hopefully they will do something about that next year, there are like two tough divisions in the league (southwest and central), two mediocre divisions and two terrible divisions it's absurd that they grouped based on geography alone

I'm kind of disappointed not having AI in the playoffs

this not actually a battle of great NBA players(no AI, NO KG), but a battle of greatest teams...

and if there was Horry, our hero in the 2005 le quest(14.4 sec game 5, NBA playoffs), who will emerge as one this yr?

Perfect. This is great things about the playoffs. We may learn something new about Lamar Odom or Kwame Brown, and wouldn't that make for some great basketball? Like watching Tony Parker abuse Gary Payton in games one and two of 2004.

I'm not. Just think - we get to see Bron-Bron in a series they will be heavy favorites to win. Dwyane Wade is still out there (remember him through two rounds last season?) Gilbert Arenas, Michael Redd, Ben Gordon, VINCE CARTER IS BACK, Kobe Bryant...there are plenty of people to keep an eye on in absence of AI.

I miss KG. I don't get to see him play but 5 times a season and the postseason provides me double that number (at least). This is the second year in a row.

That is true, but it's shaping up like that won't get exciting until the third round. That 2/7 3/6 bracket in the west is going to fun to watch because of all the inexperience and parody among the teams. I don't think the Suns are strong enough to warrant the kind of slam-dunk Conference Finals bid that a Miami would receive in comparison to the other East compe ion. Other than that, I am as confident as the mid-80s fans were of the Celtics and Lakers that the Pistons and Spurs will re-match. I'll be stunned if it doesn't happen.

But as anti-climatic as that may seem to be, I think it will result in another classic Finals series.

and if there was Horry, our hero in the 2005 le quest(14.4 sec game 5, NBA playoffs), who will emerge as one this yr?
Blocks are big in this town. The three biggest plays in Pistons history:

    1. 0:07 - Vinnie Johnson hits the hanging 15-footer in game 5 of the 1990 NBA Finals to secure the 1990 NBA Championship, 92-90.
    2. Game 3, 1989 NBA Finals - Joe Dumars blocks a potential game-tying three by the LA Lakers David Rivers, while coming down from the block, saves the ball in-bounds to the waiting arms of Bill Laimbeer who ices the game with two free throws. With so many ghosts (1987 "Steal by Bird" 1988 Zeke ankle sprain), they didn't tempt the fates by letting the Lakers back into that series.
    3. Game 2, 2004 Eastern Conference Finals - Tayshaun Prince blocks Reggie Miller's game-tying layup into the waiting hands of Rip Hamilton who calmly nails two free throws.

If I had to guess, the shot to win game 5 last year is number two. AJ's shot to win the first le in New York is number one, and Sean Elliott's Memorial Day Miracle is number 3, right?

it just happens I'm a fan of this NBA's fastest crazy 6-footer sweet shooting guard from Philadelphia

well, let's see who gonna be the next hero.

well, i think that Horry crucial 3p shot was sweeter than AJ's. We won the game against a much better team-Detroit. in an OT. so, I'd rank it as #1.
