I am trying to find a reason for the technical. I don't about what goes through the ref's mind. I'm obviously trying to find the answer to a question that can't be answered. I just want to watch a game where a zebra's initials aren't written on it. That is impossible these days.
You know, I completely agree with you.

The refs have too much of an impact on the game today. That is a assertion that doesn't have to stem from any bias or from any perspective of rooting for a specific team.

You seem to be taking it a step further though as you claim that specific teams (i.e. the Mavericks) are receiving preferential treatment. What you don't seem to realize is that every fan thinks their team is getting screwed all the time.

I think NBA refs are bad at times, and overall have too much influence, but it all evens out in the end.

And besides, if you REALLY think the refs have some conscious bias and are really trying to swing games one way or the other, why do you even watch? Sports are predicated on the fact that the result isn't predetermined. If you think they are, or that they're influenced, why not just watch wrestling?

I watch sports because of entertainment and wanting to see my favorite teams succeed. It becomes apparant that one team sometimes get the edge in the reffing department.

The problem with the reffing is consistency. They call every ticky tack foul on a few plays, then don't call for another part of the game. They call a moving screen one play, miss it the next 20, call it again, don't call it......... They need to be bold in their decisions and make the call. What really pissed me off was when Javie always said "I ed up" after he made a bad call. If you thought it was a foul/shot clock/whatever, make a decision and stay with it. Don't ing cop out and say "I ed up"

Stupid ass whiners. First of all lets go back to the Spurs Mavs series, where you guys about Dirk getting so many FT's. Lets gets some facts here, Dirk had attempted 80 FT's(shot 73-80) in the series, and here is the good part Tim Duncan had 90 FT's(shot 66-90). I wonder who attempted more FT's?(HMM) Now listen up guys, the difference is by 10 points, BUT about 70% of those FT's came on three point plays, while Dirks mostly came from shooting two; now tell me who really got more calls on their behalves a LOT more. Sit down, shut up and get your ing ass off this subject.

Now, you can't and whine because your team is fishing, so you come and attack us again with your moronic thoughts that there is some kind of conspiracy for us to win. Bell's T was a correct call, if you didn't noticed, he pushed off while the OPPosing player was still in the air, and a whistle was already blown, so there was no reason for him to even touch him. You whining es only point out calls on the Mavs way, if you didn't watch the whole game, the only reason why the Suns came back in the second qtr was because on bogus calls on who ever was guarding Nash(look I'm crying like you guys) for the entire qtr. Oh yeah, it's also funny how you guys don't mention the T on Terry when he was reaching and swiping for the ball, which truly was not a Tech, unlike the Bell one(which you guys of course don't believe happened or won't accept it). That play gave them 3 points, The Tech on them gave us 4 points; oh ing wow that sure made the difference in the game.

Dirk having 50 points and 12 rebounds had nothing to do with us winning the game by your stupid standards right? AND every call he gets is never a foul right? AND Mark is paying the refs right ( )? AND you guys aren’t whining es right? AND these questions aren’t rhetorical questions right?

Gaddamn it you mavs trolls get your act together either we CAN bring up the past or we CAN'T. Makeup your ing mind.

If the tables were turned and these exact T's were called on a Mavs player and AJ and it had the same effect -- the team took off with the game after the T's...Would anyone have even mentioned the situation?

    Just curious.

Yeah...ummm...the time machine comment doesn't exactly work when my team is still currently in the mix. I don't think you quite understood the point of the remark.

Allow me to clarify: "time machine" is directed at bitter-ass Spurs fans who, rather than face up to the fact that they couldn't beat the Mavericks, instead choose to use smoke and mirror tactics and point at past successes as if they in any way alleviate from the fact that the Spurs couldn't beat the poor old Mavericks on their own court in a decisive game 7.

When our team was in the Mix still I saw that "that's the past ", nice try though.

Because we all know that if the spurs were 20-62 they would be selling out every game. Every team in every sport gets fair weather fans. Damn you're an idiot.

I can't say I disagree with anything here either.

It seems to me like youre slowly moving from emotional comments rooted in the fact that you're still pissed that the Spurs lost to much more general and objective comments about the refereeing in general.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

Come to think of it. Cuban would have been soiling himself all night trying to come up with hours of video tape for Stu Jackson.

Maybe so? It was a crazy little sequence there. Shawn and Nash were both mentioning the officiating in their post game stuff.

Do you guys automatically say 'troll!' when you see Dallas Mavericks under a screen name?
