You really think Pistons fans didn't hear all sorts of after going down 2-0 last year in the Finals? lol Some how we all still managed to get along!

The difference IMO, is that when the large majority of Piston fans found and registered w/ this site last year, we didn't (with few exceptions) join this site to belittle the Spurs or their fans.

In the last few weeks, I've sat back and seen mul udes of extremely immature Mav fans join this site. I would say that at least 80% of those that joined have not added much at all. They simply joined to troll and start .

IMO Mav fans have been excessively agressive as they have for so long struggled and desired to beat the Spurs. I can understand that. But instead of talking basketball, all I've really seen is trolling and taunting. IMO many Mav fans got too emotionally invested in rubbing it in to Spur fans. Shouldn't the concentration be on the Heat and their fans/boards?

First impressions do often determine the outcome of relationships. And unfortunatly the early registered Mav fans helped to ruin any sort of 'first impression' for many of the latter people that joined.

How many Mav fans have had to be banned? How many Mav fans have joined again and again with different user names to simply troll and create havoc.

It's really little wonder that Spur fans are getting tired of Mav fan.

I DO NOT come here to bash the spurs, but their fans constantly bash my team and thats a problem.

From early on, it appeared that Piston fans understood and respected that this is a SPUR BOARD. Yes there were some ugly comments and threads every now and then. But for the most part there was not much fuss.


Many Mav fans have made comments, like yours that I posted above, that show me that you do not truly understand that this IS A SPURS BOARD. Do you think the people on a Spurs board should talk about how much they love the Mavs? You are conference and divisional rivals. And you just beat them. They hate you. lol

If you choose to be here you have to realize that it is somewhat of a 200 people vs. you type situation at times.. You're a visitor and guest in a foreign land.

If you visit China, you don't get mad that everyone is eating Chinese food. You don't tell them to eat CheeseBurgers instead.

Yet that's what you're doing here. You should expect to hear 99% pro Spurs thoughts.

You cannot be overly sensitive and needing to fight every battle. But at the same time, don't shy away from speaking your thoughts. Let them flow. But understand it's basketball discussion and not personal assinine attacks and overall garbage takes.....which is what most Mav fans have brought here for the last few weeks.



Hopefully the good Mav posters stick around and the bad will just get weeded out over the next few weeks. Nothing better than adding to the diversity of the group and the discussions.

So when I hear other people bash my school and/or any of extracurricular endeavors, I too get angry. BUT, I don't go Aggie boards and expect to read several "I love UT, "the Longhorns are awesome," and "UT really is a fine ins ution" comments. In fact, if I got an Aggie board (or a Sooner board or a Tech board or any other fansite), I would expect to read several comments that bashed my team. The same goes for when I visit said cities and have some sort of UT apparel on. I'm not expecting them to like my team, just as I don't like there's when I see them in my territory. It's the same with Mavs fans.

I am giving you the benefit of the doubt and the chance to back up your argument. You are presenting things as fact so I ask for proof...the burden of proof to back up your statements is on you. But the thing about getting pissed about the Mavs getting trashed here is stupid and you will likely find yourself on global ignore eventually.

Its not just a few comments with OU fans either. Last year I had a guy spend the entire game telling me how much UT sucked. He spent a good 70% of the time he was there turned around to inform me that UT and all of its players were horrible and would never amount to anything. Now, this guy was of course sitting on the burnt orange side of the stadium, also known as the Longhorn side. He (like you) could not figure out why no one was showing him (or his team) any love. I've gone to games and sat in the midst of fans from the other team. In the holiday bowl, I sat on the WSU side, and had tons of things yelled at me and in my direction. I didn't sit there and cry though. I was sitting on their team's side in burnt orange. I deserved it. If you go visit A&M or an Aggie board, all they do is talk trash about UT 98% of the time. They rarely ever even mention their own team. I almost believe that if UT had lost to USC in the Rose Bowl that they would have celebrated as if though they had just won the National Championship. As for the Rose Bowl, I went out to Cali and wore UT stuff and had several comments about how much the Longhorns were going to lose made at me. I expected that too. I was in Trojan territory. I wasn't expecting hugs and kisses for the Longhorns. Thats the point. You're in "enemy territory." You shouldn't expect the people here to love, like, or even respect your team. Its a rivalry. Deal with it.

And as for why lots of posts are about the Mavericks, here are the reasons:
1. The hundreds of Mavs trolls.
2. The Mavs eliminated the Spurs from the playoffs.
3. We're no longer in the playoffs, so our options are to talk about the team that knocked us out, talk about the draft, talk about impending free agency, or talk about next season.
4. The Mavs are in our division. They'll probably be decent next year. Chances are pretty good that we will meet again in the playoffs, and, if not, we'll be playing each other 4 times next year.
5. The entire globe hates Cuban.
